    Is there anything I should know?

    Even although I am in Europe I set up my PS4 with a US PSN account to get cheaper games.

    Is this also advisable on the Xbox?

    Also if someone could link the best way to get GamePass for the 3years at the lowest price that would be AWESOME

    Cheers

    Jim Ryan knows where you live.

    For the lowest price? Isn't it like 10 per month for a few hundred games? I doubt it's something you can find bargains on as it's already one. Yes on the xbox you can buy cheap from overseas stores like say Argentina.

    @Bichii Last I read the trick was to get Xbox live for 12 months as cheap as possible and then M$ would convert that into GamePass but that could be totally wrong.

    You are pretty much on the money. buy your 3 years live. Once added, take up the dashboard offer of one month UGP for 1, if it is still the same you will have 3 years of UGP.
    Lovely

    Like half price especially if you get cheaper Gold from CDKEYS. Sure someone worked out the other day it ends up working out at 3.50 a month for XBL Gold and GP Ultimate which is insane value.

    I did the trick a few days ago;

    Bought 24 months of pre-paid Xbox Live Gold for 80 (2x 12 Month Subscriptions).

    Added the codes to my Microsoft account.

    Activated my 1 Trial of GP Ultimate (if you've already used this I think the trick is off-limits unless you create another account).

    Microsoft automatically converted all the pre-paid Gold into GP Ultimate.

    11 per month would've been 264 for 2 years of GP Ultimate; 80 wasn't too shabby!

    My friend said you can just share it as well. Just have both Xbox machines linked and you only need one game pass.

    Yep, my mate gets XBL Gold and Gamepass from me. I have set his console as my "home" console and vice versa. Anything he buys I have access to.

    Even better. I'll just do that then for free and occasionally buy the big releases and he can use them.

    @richardiox Can you still use your own account Richard or are you actually sharing the account?

    @LostInBKK

    You can still use your own account. Even though his is set up as my "home" console I just sign in with my Gamertag on mine and have full access to my library (and to his)

    To add to the great value of GP, if you do the Gamepass weekly and monthly quests and daily searches via bing on your phone and PC you can hit 5800 points per month fairly comfortably which is the cost of an MS 5 gift voucher applied directly to your account.
    I just search 1,2,3, and so on. I have earned 50 so far this year.

    Just imagine how much you could have earned if you didn't just play gears!

    I'm afraid you'd come to this a little too late.

    We had, back in June 2019, the announcement from Microsoft that said any Microsoft Gold months you had left would be automatically converted 1:1 to Ultimate, which was quite a saving. Many of us went out and bought the the maximum 3 years of Gold via other countries to get this for around 100.

    This then converted over to 3 years Ultimate Pass (UP) for around 100.

    Fast forward to Oct/Nov 2020 and we learnt that EA passes would also be converted at a ratio of 4:1 meaning you could buy 3 years of EA pass, and this would also be converted to 1 year of Ultimate Pass.

    That last conversion took place yesterday.

    So going forwards, you best bet for getting a UP sub is to buy it via a different country (Hungary seems to be the place to do this at the moment) or check online stores for discounted subscription gift cards.

    Hope that helps!

    That sounds like actual work

    That still works apparently.

    The EA access one has been blocked I think.

    Of course! You're quite right. You could only do this one right, so best get the maximum then convert.

    I still think Ps5 and a PC is the way to go due to the future Sony exclusives

    The Xbox even looks like a mini itx PC lol

    I still have my PS4 just so I can play games like Bloodborne and Aegis Rim
