In the interests of generally being better at being an adult, I just invested in an exchange traded fund. I am so fucking clueless at this kind of shit though.

@TechnoHippy I hesitate to ask, but why won't you last that long?
In the short term it's the lack of will - there's only work to keep me getting up in teh morning, and I'm starting to resent that - even though it's a good job. I'm not able to handle the stress like I used to. The depression doesn't help.

In the longer term my nerve endings are dying - which is progressively getting worse, and I can't take any pain killers (that work) for teh pain, as I can't be trusted with them.

There's some other shit as well, but I've moaned enough.

Assuming you mean me - I intend to write an AI to replace that function of my existence.

Jools Holland on BBC2 and Alicia Keys on BBC1 for New Year's Eve telly, add a nice dinner and a few beers - perfect!

Peripheral neuropathy, diabetes, depression, and a few others. All mostly manageable, but it just isn't worth the arse ache - at least in prison I got some time off for good behaviour - now I get more time for good behaviour. I do enjoy the irony of it :-)

Is the diabetes the cause of the peripheral neuropathy?
Ever tried the low cal diets that can reverse diabetes?

@Armoured_Bear My diabetes went undiagnosed for over a decade, and that was 12 years ago - plus it's only one factor, but I'm too far along for reversal - the joys of progressive diseases.

Besides which - I can't stand salad - I'd rather have some pleasure than more time.

Itís been fantastic. Itís brought my cycling on a lot. Faster, fitter, doing longer distances but it is also my one time a week I can socialise and just clear my head and draw a line under the week. Itís great. Made new friends, good excuse to eat cake or a bacon sarnie etc. Iíve been really enjoying it. You also learn a lot about your bike and also itís a great way to explore new routes. Been down places I never new existed.

I donít know what a full club experience is like as this is more 6 - 10 people meeting at the bus shelter on a Sunday morning to have a 35-50 mile ride. Most of the guys do ride for a local club but they do that midweek and have a more chilled ride I guess on Sunday. But I canít imagine the experience being too different.

I think you will be ok though, most clubs have different groups that go out 1,2,3 for example. 1 being stupidly quick (and from what I hear more of the bellends in who take it too seriously ) and 3 ambling along with newcomers and older folk with 2 somewhere in the middle. I say if you can easily cycle 30 miles go for it.

I think our local group could grow into something bigger. Thereís been 4 new people this summer alone. Been talk of perhaps getting jerseys done and making it formal but think everyone likes it because itís officially unofficial if that makes sense.

I have had a strong hatred for Jools Holland since I learned that his NYE Party is in fact filmed many months in advance.

Just got my account suspended on Twitter for saying "if 2020 was a person it would be the retarded lovechild of Donald Trump and Katie Hopkins."

Really can't see what's wrong the statement.
