    #1 - 02/01 - The Last Campfire (PS5) Platinum
    #2 - 15/01 - Assassin's Creed: Valhalla (PS5)
    #3 - 27/01 - Overcooked 2 & DLC (PS5) Platinum
    #4 - 04/02 - Kentucky Route Zero (PS5) Platinum

A cross between "this is superb" and "what the fucking hell is going on", but in a Twin Peaks type way so that's cool.

Nearing the end of Hitman 2 now, on the DLC missions so hopefully can polish that off by end of next week and then I may do one of Skies of Arcadia on Gamecube, or FFVI on PC (albeit ROM rather than Steam and with the updates for all the good shit and extra translation etc!)

Although more likely to do something else on PS4 or PS5!

    01. 01/01 - Heretic II (PC) - 6/10
    02. 05/01 - Duke Nukem Manhattan Project (PC) - 6/10
    03. 09/01 - Bleed 2 (Series S) - 6/10
    04. 17/01 - Lego Indiana Jones (Series S) - 6/10
    05. 18/01 - FEAR 2 + Reborn (PC) - 7/10
    06. 22/01 - Pandora's Box (PC) - 8/10
    07. 24/01 - Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl (PC) - 7/10
    08. 04/02 - Gorogoa (Android) - 7/10

Interesting idea and great artwork, but there's too much screen hunting and ultimately too few "aha!" moments.

It's not much different from Bloober's previous effort, but the higher budget shows, and so does the devs' experience acquired in the years. It's easily their best game yet, even if Blair Witch was creepier overall.

    1: Immortals F.R.(xbox) beat on 08/01/21. Score 7/10
2: Korgan (xbox, free) beat on 30/01/21. Score 6/10

3: Donut County (gamepass) beat on 06/02/21. Score 6/10
4: The Walking Dead: (gamepass) A new frontier complete season. Score 10/10

Finished two games in one day (albeit several days or weeks of playing) Donut County was a fine little distraction. In the game, the player moves a hole to swallow objects, which makes the hole increase in size, it is fairly "cute" and has a couple of very simple puzzles.

TWD season 3 was excellent, just like previous two games. I love Clem and the new family certainly grew on me by the end. Looking forward to completing Clem's story with the final season though.

Game 5 The Medium Series X

Tedious to play once you've played the first couple puzzles you've seen all the game has to offer. Narrative was the only thing worth playing for.

    5/10

    #5 - 08/02 - Hitman 2 (PS5)

Also completed all the Hitman 1 levels again for good measure, but got full mastery on Hitman 2 and its DLC levels. Really is a marvellous game.

So tempted to jump straight in to Hitman 3 as well, but think I will play something a bit different as that was a solid 50-60 hours I think!

Was craving some more Mario before 3D World arrived so went through Galaxy again as Luigi. Still a great game even if the skiddy prick made it a tad more frustrating.

    1. Call of the Sea (PC) (1/1/21)(9/10)
    2. Gears 5: Hivebusters (PC) (3/1/21) (9/10)
    3. Carrion (PC) (4/1/21) (9/10)
    4. Tell Me Why! (PC)
    4.1 Episode 1 (7/1/21) (8/10)
    4.2 Episode 2 (10/1/21) (8/10)
    4.3 Episode 3 (11/1/21) (8/10)
    5. Sea Salt (PC) (19/1/21) (7.5/10)
    6. Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS4) (9.5/10)
    7. The Medium (PC) (3/2/21) (8.5/10)
    8. Gears Tactics (PC) (15/2/21) (8.5/10)

Another Gamepass game. Polished and fun tactical Rebelstar/Laser Squad-a-like. Story was interesting enough and ties into other Gears games I have played. Quite pretty and other than Jack's summoning bomb ability being a bit buggu (locked the enemy turn in later chapters) everything ran smoothly. Map repetition in the side missions but I enjoyed it for the length it was.

Also nearly finished 13 Sentinels and Adventures of Mana. Not sure whether to try and squeeze Halo Master Chief Collection, Outer Worlds or Wolfenstein Youngblood as my last 2 or 3 weeks before my GP expires... Started Halo 1 but it has aged (enjoyed it on Xbox launch)

    11. 16/02 - Adera (PC) - 6/10

Starts off better than the average hidden objects game of the era. Then around the halfway mark it kinda falls down and doesn't really recover.

    9. 13 Sentinels : Aegis Rim (PS4) (16/2/21) (9.5/10) Plat - 17/2/21)

Finished with 91% trophies (basically need to S rank 1 main mission for the last data entry for Platinum trophy) and 55 hours or so. Interesting sci-fi adventure/RTS with pretty Vanillaware art and a well told story. Graphics are great and full of small details and only one OTT female character tgat looks a bit out of place. Music and voices (Japanese dub) are very good too and the plot is well told and interesting in how much flexibility of story order you get (with a little necessary gating) and you can choose your balance between RTS and the adventure pretty well too. The localisation is well done too. I will finish off the platinum soon hopefully. Enjoyable change from Vanillaware's last few actiony games.

At 9 games now in 7 weeks I am further ahead of the 52 weeks than I have ever actually been and got another almost finished game too...

Edit - got the platinum on 13 Sentinels and put the completion date for Yakuza: Like a Dragon that I had missed.

    10. Halo Anniversary Edition (PC) (20/2/21) (7/10)

Played through this on PC for first time since getting on Xbox. I mostly used the new graphics to see the difference and in the outdoor stages it was horribly mismatched in geometry... My first impression were that it had aged terribly and I wasn't enjoying it then it seemed to click again (I was expecting to be giving it a 5/10 at first). Less levels than I remember and less getting lost too. I also remember more outdoor levels. But it was still pretty fun even though my RB died on my joypad so had to switch trigger sides to play... Now for Halo 2 which I have only played half of before as I got bored firat time around. Another Gamepass title so see if I can finish the series in next 2 weeks... Not picked a new console game to play yet after 13 Sentinels...

    Edit - typo

Yay, first completion of the year! Charming farming sim. I'm not familiar with Doraemon and the gang but I enjoyed this, it's rather sweet. 7/10

    11. Adventures of Mana (Vita) (22/2/21) (7.5/10)

57% trophies and a reported gametime of 35 hours (I suspect a lot lf that was standby as it is one of those games that keeps timing going...). Only had half an hour left to do so polished it off. Remake of the first Mana game (Final Fantasy Adventure) which I always had a soft spot for but never finished on GB. Forgot quite how much FF was left in this game (Chocobos and Moogles for a start). Slightly ugly art style but as a very authentic remake of the GB original it works surprisingly well (unlike the Secret of Mana remake which looked a lot uglier than the SNES version). Controls are pretty tight and music is jaunty and fitting. Not the most challenging combat when you get the hang of things but some of the dungeon design choices (keys and necessary hidden walls which require consumable items with avlimited inventory) are a bit archaic showing its age and Gameboy origins. But I enjoyed it anyway. Maybe I will go back to the original on the Collection of Mana (or play Sword of Mana) later in the year...

In other news should have Halo 2 polished off very soon. Score for the challenge still going very well. But got P5 Strikers due this week so...

Did a good chunk of it and finished the main levels themselves of course. Had a look at the bonus ones but too hard so feel I've completed it as much as I can and happy with what I did!

Will do Bowser's Fury at some point, but should have Bravely Default 2 tomorrow...

Also have Persona 5 Strikers but just really got into Demon's Souls on PS5 as well, and have Hitman 3 to do. Fuck sake!

    12. DE∀TH COME TЯUE (PS4) (25/2/21) (8/10) (All Trophies)

Bought DE∀TH COME TЯUE physical cheap from Amazon Japan and played though it yesterday (missed 4 Death coins (death endings)) on the first playthrough and had a second playthrough today for the second ending and the missing deaths). Got all trophies. FMV choose your own adventure style by the director of Danganronpa. A bit cheesy but entertaining to watch and 'play'. The actors suit their roles well and it is well shot. Story isn't Kodaka's most complex but it works well for the length of the story (a few hours estimate). Has a nice bunch of extra making of and outtakes too. One great feature that other FMV games of the style such as Late Shift could really do with it the ability to fast-forward or rewind and video in 10 second increments which made subsequent playthroughs painless (Laye Shift you have to do the whole 90 minute movie every time which is a shame as I do want to finish that game without a guide one day). The FF function and the fact that I enjoyed it warrants an 8/10 IMO.

Suppose I should finish off last few levels of Halo 2 later. Also started Persona 5 Strikers and tried to get back into Muramasa on Vita...

And one more Halo finished on normal. Very messy plot and worse enemy designs. Still some reasonably fun levels and an abrupt ending. Hopefully 3 will be better (I started 2 on Xbox once upon a time and got bored first time around but all of the games are new to me from here onwards...)

Still quite happy with my progress at over a third of my usual yearly total before the end of February. Now on with Halo 3...

Again on Gamepasa. First time playing and I enjoyed that one. Generally more pleasant to play (apart from following 2 in hiding lore in computers which sucked). Story was reasonable 'finale' and enjoyed the slightly bigger range of vehicles and weapons. Finished on normal. Now to see if I can finish off ODST, Reach and 4 over next 10 days...

Nice little co op game that requires voice chat to solve puzzles a bit like the crystal maze. Very short but I think works as a result of that. And free!

Played that because the Resi 5 servers haven't been working for the last few days so we can't resume our second playthrough of that, on the last two chapters as well FFS.

And ODST finished. Positive points are seeing a different perspective and playing weaker characters but the city hub level was pretty boring with lots of wandering doing nothing. Still generally enjoyed it though. Just Reach and 4 to polish off now...

Got all 100 cat shines and had a blast doing it. A great add-on to the Mario 3D World package, although over fairly quickly. Would love a full Mario game in this style sometime in the future.
