One of my biggest annoyances in any game are little things that you have to shoot that are small, quick and run along the ground. Most annoying pieces of shit ever. The whole Aliens debacle put me off Gearbox for years, wilfully misleading around the games release, never mind it was a pile of shit and I was amped for it.
But then they had to go and release Borderlands, and I am shallow. -

Registered 17 years agoGameplay footage makes it look more interesting than the trailer did to me. Still painfully formulaic, though, and with lots of alpha jank that hopefully gets smoothed out - not sure the license would be enough to carry it for me if Back 4 Blood gets there first and sates my co-op needs. -

Looks flat. There's not a lot in the level. Would like to see more dynamic lighting, welding doors shut and more clutter in general, it looks too clean...
AI looks basic too...Only the drone type looked to deviate from the "move towards target in a straight line" script.
I guess it's the only way to make this type of game work but the aliens are barely a threat.
Hope they can polish it up... -
