Again, thanks to everyone. I know that one of the £250 donators is a very, veeeee---eryy famous wrestler. Which just blew my mind.
There's a clue in the way I have written it. He asked to remain anonymous via twitter dm. Things will never EE-eeeeerver, be the same again. -

Given how much we share in terms of legislative similarity between the UK and Ireland, isn't also incredibly difficult for them to do something like that without leaving themselves incredibly open to a claim as they would be here?
I guess they're a legal firm so probably cover themselves fairly well but still, terrible thing to do to people. -

They're using a recruitment agency, with the promise of a permanent contract. However, any time off, as soon as sick notes run out, the company turf them back out to the agency. Who suddenly have 'nothing for you'.

Plus that office was open the entire time in lockdown, and they did similar to people who had to isolate or had symptoms. -

Registered 14 years agoAh yea, agency a different kettle of course. They will have a clause with the end client that the end client can trigger a removal from site.
Really doesn't make sense for the agency to not push back a bit on them when it comes down to people isolating being removed from site. It's certainly at the very least a grey area but they'll have to replace and onboard somebody new for the sake of 2 weeks? It makes no sense at a commercial level for either organisation.
They sound like a bunch of wankers anyway like Dougs said. -

Registered 10 years agoI spoke to the media manager at GoFundMe yesterday, she was sound and was interested in pushing it locally and nationaly.
I told her to tell The S*n to do one though.
She believes a short piece can increase donations by 300% in most cases.
I also made sure to highlight that it was due to the generosity of you guys and others, and that the same community gave so much to charity in my sons name when he passed away too.

Can one of you post something abhorrent and get on the Lorraine Kelly show or something -

@Reacher I might still have the contact details of the charity we did it for you, if you don't have them? They contacted me to do an interview at the time but I shied away from it.
Can't promise anything but I might have them if needed/wanted.
