Could someone let me know how the game handles
Players if different levels playing together?
One pet peeve with these games is that if someone is even a few levels above their co-op partners, they often end up being a complete wrecking ball and it makes it no fun for the players who are lower level.

Quick question: when playing this style of game with friends online, is there a gentleman’s agreement to shut the fuck up during cut scenes, or do you get friends blathering a load of shite and end up missing the story?

TBH i generally like to finish the story solo before jumping into multiplayer on this sort of thing for that very reason, also the cutscenes are long so if people have seen them before it can be annoying for them to see them again i guess.

Why? Wouldn't that solve the issue? Turn them down a bit for the story parts, then back up once in game.

Well I'm shooting up stuff as dsmx on the PC, I'm about level 15 right now. I'll be on every now and then if someone wants to have a blast.

The pyro class is quite good, the LB and RB skill gets some health back and the other skills is good for the rusher style enemies

Killed the first boss, was WT3 but had to drop it to WT2 and massive difference between damage you do. it was unplayable last now, first frame rates issues then unable to login but seems ok now

Glad its GP game as its fine for part of gamepass, its not terrible and not amazing. The weather is shit on easter friday, so happy to play something new. The story does take its self so serious and its not that good, classic bad writing

in a cutscene, they want to spare this enemy and no one notices he pulls out this gun and shots the lady sniper in the throat. what was my character doing?

I quite liked that bit (i'm not sure if I was supposed to laugh though), they seem to be going for a "every good turn deserves to be shat on" thing. The Lt. McCain side mission was a good example.

Soloing my way through the story at the moment, but will be up for some co-op in the endgame expeditions bit.

Currently at WT8, which seems to be around my limit so far. Although after numerous deaths at the hands of a massive lava spider, being able to drop it to WT1 and rinse it in about 30 seconds was amusingly satisfying.

Yeah I do find it pretty hard - some of the side missions in particular are pretty tricky - but being able to drop difficulty at any time is nice.

So far this seems like a fancier Remnant From the Ashes. It's the mods that are really making it tick for me though, I'm only level 11 but I can already build around certain abilities. I now have 2 temporal blades and 2 mags of magic ammo, plus an auto shotty with explosive ammo.

Oh, if you have the preorder pack (which you probably do regardless of when you bought it) remember to check the inbox in your stash as there is shedloads of equipment in there.

WT6 here. Died a few times when matchmaking but generally solo has been easier. That’s until you reach the first BIG boss. That shredded me will do a bit of gear hunting or upgrading until it’s easier. Do like the gameplay loop a lot, very diablo/Divison style.

Played a couple of hours earlier, gone from lvl5+10 "Flamerchick" tried to MM but no luck.
I think it is ok but nothing more, looks 360 though a lot of the time. I'm happy it was "free"

A lot of the concerns I had from the demo are gone as I get further through the game. There's quite a good mix between the "animals" and the human enemies as you get further through the game.

I'm about level 18-20 I think it was and at WT8 at this point and I'm having a good time in it.

With that said I did have a boss to fight where you can basically just circle strafe them to death and you don't really have any other choice thanks to the layout of the area you have to fight him in.

Also getting a LMG with a 100 round mag makes my twisted bullets really powerful coupled with it's relatively low rof means that by the time I've unloaded a normal magazine of ammo from it the skill has reset. I just wish I remembered to activate the skill before I needed to reload so I can skip the reload.

Weird, didn't think cooldown triggered until you've emptied the mag or reloaded manually? It's a ridiculously short cooldown anyways. It's pretty nuts with a machine gun and the mod that allows two mags instead of one.

@dfunked09 It doesn't. But when you have a 100 round mag a low rof the cooldown takes nearly as long as it takes to empty the magazine.

Ah, gotcha... It's quite funny using it with the auto shottys. Ridiculous DPS, but you spend more time reloading them that you do shooting. The instant reload is handy for them too if you manage to time it right and leave it with 1 shot left.

Yeah, it’s actually quite cool, especially when you unlock the weapon crafting. There’s like an infinite variety of weapons and weapon mods, so you can really customise your skills and gear how you want them.

It’s not the best shooter or even a really good one but it is a lot of fun so far.

Some bits of the game are still dogshit, though. Dunno what the male voice sounds like but the female one has all the monotone charisma of a bored primark checkout girl and the character models are dreadful. The dialogue is also wank. The swearing Russian guy especially.
