Let’s hope that FG is just as good (and bad) as EG has ever been

I remember I tried the EG Discord for a short while. Oh my goodness it was horrible. I almost got myself banned. Me. I know my posts can get really edgy all the time to the point I'm known to everyone as the forum bad boy but I dread to think how fast everyone else would get banned there.

I *did* get banned. One of the admin had a sense of humour failure about a joke I made on the (not officially related) swapsies discord.

There's only 2 people who post anything with any activity at any given time, and one of them is usually MrTomFTW.

@elstoof Nope, once September 10th hits, it's all gone.

When the forum is closed on 10th September a few things will happen:
- The community domain (community.eurogamer.net) will redirect to the main site (www.eurogamer.net)
- You won't be able to view any of your old threads or posts

I know they've neglected the forum for a while, but to have it all disappear so soon is just piss. My pitchfork is out

Well this is a load of fucking shite isnt it. Stubmled upon the EG forum back in 2005 and have been lurking ever since. I'm genuinely fucking pissed off about this. May not post much but have alot of awesome memories which will be lost when this place is liquidated. Roger Reedpop can go fuck himself in the fucking ear.

Interesting you mention Discord as an alternative because I've seen it is only the same ten people that are active on that. This forum is way more active.
