    linky

like the subject heading says. empire magazine are offering up free tickets at various cinemas for a preview screening of a forthcoming uip film. i found this link on a joss whedon site which pointed out that there were a few language clues that indicate that it could be for serenity (use of mosey and shiny being quite fireflyish), but no guarantees.

awesome indeed. hence me not posting the link until i got my tickets. i don't want 'em running out before i've got mine like the previous serenity showings in the u.k. did :(

oh, and for those in the right places, definite screenings of serenity.

    I was gonna say, it's a 15 film, and Serenity will be a 12, but Serenity is a 15!!!

Oooh, I could go down to the Staines cinema and get some but if they're out of stock it's a wasted trip. Will they tell you over the phone?

I hope it turns out to be something rubbish, like a Vin Diesel movie, or maybe even something that doesn't have Charlie Sheen in.

watford, for the simple and obvious reason that i live there.

and for those who missed the tickets, take solace in the fact that uip are also distributing doom, so it might be that...

Did Watford seem to have a few when you went? I live round the corner from there, but still don't see the point of going to get mine if they're all out. Although I do need to go pick up my house mate and I will be driving back via there . . .

yup. clean the house top to bottom, defrost the freezer, prepare me a slap up gormet meal tonight, make me a fried breakfast every morning before i leave for work, pay me the money you owe me. oh, and dye your hair, or at least get a good hat.

So, 2 days away from the secret film. Any theroies on what it could be? Could be Land of the Dead - it's out at the end of the week; could be Four Brothers. I'm still holding out for it to be Serenity though!

well, there is a national set of serenity screenings the day after it that were available for people to buy, so there are definitely reels over here, and it kinda makes sense that they get something like empire involved as it'll likely draw in more non-firefly-fans to help spread word of mouth than the normal screenings which get swamped by the die hard faithful whedonites, and the entire idea of the campaign is to raise a fan base and word-of-mouth before the full release.

    Doubtful to be P & P - it's rating will be lower than a 15, probably a PG.

it was indeed serenity. we had another thread with a little bit of discussion (pretty much entirely non-spoilery) about it floating around somewhere.

general verdict seemed to be that it was pretty damn good.
