Ipod mini 'bork3d'?

Got the bosses daughter's Ipod mini.

It won't turn on at all, not even after a full charge. Anyone got any suggestions? If the consensus is it's borked, any ideas how I get it fixed/replaced?

I thought, if that happened, you were to hold down menu and play for ten seconds and it'll come back to life?

Tried that and it does nothing.

    I thought I'd done that? ;)

According to Apple you have to toggle the hold switch then hold menu and select for 6-10 seconds, but I'll give your version the benefit of the doubt ;)

Have you charged it from the wall or a USB port?
