Peter Moore, corporate vice president of Worldwide Marketing and Publishing for Xbox at Microsoft, also announced that triple Academy Award winners Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh will serve as the executive producers of “Halo,” the upcoming feature film based on Microsoft’s phenomenally popular video game. This unique alliance between Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, Microsoft, and Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh promises a step forward in motion picture production. “Halo” will benefit from the experience and resources of the film studios, from Microsoft’s groundbreaking vision and from Jackson’s and Walsh’s creative sensibilities and expertise in both traditional filmmaking and the world of emerging digital technologies.

Peter Jackon's adherence to source material is well-known, I full expect to see on-screen tool tips to help with recognising characters, plot twists and locating the toilets in the cinema. Also I want to hear "You fag jew" and "Fucking n00b cocksucker" everytime someone dies on screen.

Had a nice little daydream about a WETA-designed and animated Flood there for a second.

But nah, never happen, not in a million years. He's still got Brain Dead II to do after Kong's done and dusted.

Peej, what are you talking about?

He's doing it and WETA are doing the effects.

According to IMDB "Lovely Bones" is scheduled to be his next project after Kong. IMDB's fanbois seem to agree with you though, but hell I'll believe it when I see it!

And Ashton Kutcher for Master Chief...Dubbleyew the EFF?

Peej, according to MS he's doing it - it's just been announced. IMDB will probably be playing catch-up.

well, he's not directing it. So it's probably his company handling it, him being executive producer.

Unless of course he's a young MC and we see him undergoing the horrible treatments and operations needed to make a Spartan... for real I hope.

Anyone can post any information to IMDB and if it sounds even remotely plausible they'll publish it.
