Robbie Edwards (Ubisoft): The Xbox 360 is much more powerful than any entertainment component available to consumers right now. It's more powerful than the most powerful PCs, and the current generation consoles simply do not compare. Based on processing power alone, the Xbox 360 is the equivalent of 14 Xboxes. Imagine that the Xbox 360 is as much a generational leap as the HDTV is to a black and white TV.

Oh, please. Where is that times 14xbox power? Stuck in your ass?

It needs to be 14 times as powerful as it needs three threads to do anything. Even "Hello World".

Bear in mind that the article's 5 months old. Back then the Xbox was just a pair of Apple Powermacs hidden under a desk ;)

14 x more powerful in order to cope with deciphering the old Xbox 1 games as part of its backwards compatibility.

Yeah - I saw that. What I meant was: why is it only put up now - 5 months after the article was written?

Peter Moore (MS): Excellent. Very good.

Robbie Edwards: Ok, Ive done what you've asked. Please let my family go now. Little Timmy needs his asthma medication.

Peter Moore: (nods to heavies in balaclavas) Very well Mr. Edwards. Remember though, we know where you live.

sounds like consoles are going the way of mobile phones with this micro-transaction malarkey.

I hate where all this is leading to....
