Any mods about yet, to sticky this or make a sticky thread of useful threads? C'mon somebody must be about? |

C'mon, a useful thread sticky would be great - Xbox live tags, HDTV info, SoftModding guides, etc. etc.

Registered 16 years agoHows about sticky-ing this thread? We're bound to see a lot of "what HD-TV?"-threads as prices drop and the next-gen consoles draw near, so why not make 1 thread to cover all questions and comments? -

Registered 16 years agoAnd here's one I found earlier.....
New Samsung 26" LCD Milano LE26M51B
Nice piece of kit if their other's are anything to go by. The only real advantage I can see with this over their cheaper 26" model (Greenwhich LE26R41BD) is that it has a faster refresh - 8ms instead of 16ms - which I know is not the be all and end all, but if it's the same as the other Samsung only faster, it has to be an improvement on that......I guess?!
And you can get it on interest free for 1 year!! Bonus. Let's hope that offer is on in January along with a sale price!!

What? Because you have to spend the next year selling your vital organs to fund what will almost certainly be a £2500+ telly?

I've been sooo tempted for so long, I was seriously planning to pick up a PV500 but now my company are making grumbles and I may be jobless around crimbo, will have to hold off just a little longer and the 1080p 50" gives me reason to, the main reason I want a Hi-Def is for the World Cup and beyond so I can wait -

Registered 17 years agoBah - doesn't really bother me too much. The missus point blank refuses to have a massive telly in the lounge anyway, so 32" is the upper limit apparently. The only benefit is that the 32" screens will get cheaper but then that's going to happen anyway, isn't it? -

Registered 17 years agoYou should look up and add the new BrightSide HDR/EDR display technology. Still v.pricey at the mo but they are starting to license it out and it should start filtering so soon, well in the next year or two.
If I can find them I'll dig out some links. -

Registered 16 years agoThere are monitor sized lcd-tv's. Don't know if they are hd-ready and in proper res, though.
These smaller ones aren't even widescreen:
