Monkman please just buy one, I can't take this anymore. The 7 inches extra will make almost no difference. I had a 48" plasma before the 55" OLED and it looks no different in the room, especially when you take into account it has almost no bezel. Please, my heart can't take much more of this.

Wait for Black Friday monk. Or Boxing Day sales. Or New Year sales.

Stop stalking me man. My current TV is a 42" (FORTY TWO INCH) plasma, and it just barely fits, so following your logic a 48" OLED would look about the same. NOT ALL LIVING ROOMS ARE ALIKE

I'm still rocking a Panasonic 42PX60B; due to the size of the bezel it measures roughly the same from corner to corner (diagonal) as my mates 55" LG OLED.

AAAARGH NOT ALL 42" PLASMAS ARE ALIKE. Mine is a GT60. It measures LESS than the 48" OLED (FORTY EIGHT) diagonally. MUCH MUCH LESS than the 55" OLED. Trust me, I've measured.

Tell you what Decks just send me £500 then I can get the 48" for a grand and we can all be happy.

Is it a fixed recess space or alcove that it has to go in to?

I'm not encouraging you to get that teeny fucking TV. I'll put 600 towards the 65" though.

@Dougs It's an alcove in the corner. I barely dare say this, but physically a 55" would fit, as it's on an angle. But it would look RIDICULOUS.

Someone with some sense of interior design please back me up here

I'll happily show her those extra 7 inches are nothing to worry about.

I have a 50" at the moment, and it looks silly in the space. The 48", with smaller bezels, is much more my speed. I don't want a front room that screams TV!TV!TV! It's just not that much of a focus. And frankly all you people with massive TVs are SCUM OF THE HIGHEST ORDER and there's just no other way of saying it.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you're all just so horrible and that only the monkman and I truly get it.

    consoles cause all these issues

these supposedly cheaper platforms that end up with you spending £1500 on a TV and remodelling your lounge to fit it in

    You're right, I wouldn't even have a TV if it wasn't for a console.

It's all about viewing distance, isn't it?
As long as you're happy sitting nice and close to a smaller screen it works fine.

Rule of TV's #1 : You can never have too big a TV.
