Registered 20 years agoIts can be good fun. Went on a few when I was younger and had various incidents - one course was set by a bloke who did not know how to use a map and compass. Also teaches you that a straight line isn't always the quickest over open ground - make use of contours on the map. -

Either. Some times it was a race against other teams or the clock, other weeks it would just be more of a day out at your own pace. -

Sometimes its for a walk in nice scenery, or a 'best route' competition - rare tho. -

Registered 16 years agoBy train from Euston to Watford Junction - the town hall's about a 10 to 15 minute walk from there.
If you don't mind me asking, what are you going there for?
Edit: If you catch the fast train from Euston it'll only be a 15 minute journey instead of the 19/20 minutes they advertise it as.

Cool! I dare say they'll then take you all off to Whippendell Woods - apparently there's a course there. And I thought Whippendell Woods was just dog walkers, shaggers, and cops stopping off for a sneaky ciggie in the early hours of the morning (apparently).
