Check this out... it is my experiment.

How can I get it into the search engines?

And how many donits do we think I can attract? ;-)

if we talk about the link on here enough, drop it into comments on 'majour releases' then it might get picked up by the search engines?

How much do you reckon it'd cost to register that url?

I'm just dying to get some 'real' donits to visit the site. I submitted the URL to loads of search engines but apparently it takes time. In the meantime, I'll keep quoting it every time someone asks about the password. :-)

You need to choose 30 - 40 keywords that describe, and code them using 'Meta Tags' within your HTML. Then its 'send out the spiders' time with your search engine of choice.

Search for meta tags on google, they'll be shedloads on there, or just pop into the source of any HTML page on the web, they'll most likely be there.

Just out of curiosity Blerk, what is the message in the Zip? (I can't be arsed guessing it, and I can't remember where I put the .zip cracker)

    The message actually reads thus:
"Buy the game, you thieving scum!"

    :-)

donits.com is 35. If it was a tenner I'd actually register it right now, and then let it sit and rot because I have zero webdesigning skills.

donits.co.uk just isn't the same, and donit.com has already been taken.

you can register donits.com for 20 for 2 years. Try 34sp.com (recommended to me by St3ph3n)

    DONITS ROXXORS!

    obviously.

EDIT: Plus a few choice quotes from the WWE thread. Namely the post where Some Guy pointed out we were spelling 'doughnuts' incorrectly.

Thing is, I fancy building a website simply because I never have and it'd be cool to be able to throw junk up on there, but I'm a loss as to what I would fill it with. My 20 has to have some sort of value.

FWB - sure you could get your hands on some WYSIWYG html editor, then you could knock up a few pages no problem. Gallery of donit pROn could be one of 'em.. Am I Donit or Not? I dunno.. there'd be loads you could put up there ;-)

What you see is what you get. The thing that never seems to work ehen you try to print something you've written in Word.

How about pictures of donits destroyed by heavy weapons fire?!

    It could work!

Arhh, so its like a click and drag program, right? Cos all I know of html is how to make things bold, italic, alt-tabs and links. Not much there for a site.
