    I will end up having a problem though when I upgrade. I want to avoid installing XP on any new machine I get and I'll most likely go for over 512megs of ram. Hmm, what to do?

    From experience 256 is the only way to go, we've had really buggy systems with 512, take a stick out and it's no problem, I've had it happen about 15 times.
