    N64 is now 'retro'! \o/

Anywho, it occured to me to try and guage opinion on this little gem. And by 'gem', I mean that I loved it, but I'm not sure if other people did, and if they didn't, why the hell not.

EG's search brought up a few scant threads about N64 cult classics and such like (and now I really want to play Blast Corps again), but I only found the one mention of Mischief Makers. So there's at least one of you who agrees with me! Come on, this was an excellent game.

    Better than Halo, even.

    ...and Mischief Makers?

Also, Blast Corps = hardest game ever?

Ah, Mischief Makers. One of the most lovable games I've ever played, from Marina's 'Shake Shake!!' to the boss character that pleads with you to join their fanclub.

The most admirable part of it was just the way it was so diverse and open to experimentation - I mean, even outside of the levels that allowed you to go (for example) rocket surfing and tricycle bike riding, with the simple mechanic of being able to pick up and shake or throw things, the possibilities were near endless.

Yep, I loved it alright. Never could do all of the gold gem challenges, though.

    No manual necessary, Bill.

Do you remember how far on Blast Corps, Bill? I can't remember the names of the courses, but iirc there were some incredibly hard ones indeed. Particularly if you wanted platinum medals.

There was some kind of harbour mission that was a bitch, and also a big rail road? Jesus christ the throught is bringing back the pains in my arms when they seized up due to anger and stress.

I had 2 games on the N64. Goldeneye and Blast Corps. Played a few others but those were the games the console was bought for, that's it.

For me at least, it was a wholly disappointing machine but those two games were fantastic on it.

Well they already are of course for delaying WW: Twisted until the end of January. You couldn't make it up.

Thats a game that could sell absolutely loads if they went about it the right way. Just shove one in somebodies hands the moment the walk in the shop and they'd be mad not to buy it.

I'd love to get a N64 to play Mario Kart, Diddy Kong, Pilotwings, Blastcorps etc. but the local Gamestation (and I presume all of the chain) charge a bloody fortune for the games pre-owned and I don't eBay.

A couple of weeks ago much fun was had playing PilotWings 64 and Diddy Kong Racing. I must get Blast Corps out again too as that was magic. And I STILL haven't given Rocket: Robot on Wheels enough time which is an outrage as I love the Sly games so much.

Him with you! I really need to give more time to Rocket.

Unfortunetly I only entered the the N64 Train to late... So I missed lots of great games...

And Mischief makers is one of the games I never heard...

Well there was rumours a while back, that Factor 5 were working on PilotWings for the 'Nintendo next' machine. That was prior to the 'Nintendo next' getting the name Revolution.

I thought Factor 5 had fucked off to MS/Sony land?

Its official, they are only developing for the PS3.
