And here I stand, disappointed, having expected the imminent release of a decent archery game. -

Registered 19 years agoErm, I've quite enjoyed most of his books.
Should that be in the 'Confessions' thread? -

No that belongs in the "please take the p*ss out of me NOW" thread.

Registered 18 years agoHe's in the top 100 list for The Big Read so he can't be all bad. Don't think I've read any of his stuff, so I can't comment. -

Put him back in again. Anyone notice Harry Enfield looks shockingly like Archer. That's not good. -
On a not really related note, has anyone read this Artemis Fowl stuff? Is it any good? Sounds like a HP rip-off, but who knows? -
It's generic blockbuster gusset-shredder shite. Readable, even enjoyable in a low-brow Hollywood blockbuster kind of way, but it's not great literature. Let's face it, Archer is good at fiction! The fact that he's a slimey wanky bastard is irrelevant really. I've read some of his books and quite enjoyed them, I'd never buy one of his books though because I'd hate to think I'd put money in his pocket.
You could do an Archer and steal one though, just to see what all the fuss is about. -
Well that was the other thing I was going to mention...
