    it's a decent film for all that it's a bit dated. i recommend watching it if you haven't seen if before, especially as it's free.

    I got the Power of Nightmares through that site a few months back. There's some really good stuff on that site. And all legal.

    Holy shit, what did they do to this superman footage. I downloaded the 500 mb file (for a 10 minute film, hmm) and it's as blurry as a 20 year old dog with cataract would see things behind shower booth glass.

    Is this true for all films?

    Dunno. One thing I have noticed from audio CDs is that the cheap CDs that are based on public domain stuff sound *awful*, whereas remastered CDs cost quite a lot. I'm guessing that it cost a decent amount of money to restore an old recording, and I'm guessing that it costs exponentially more to restore old film. Unless there's money to be made from it, or it's being restored by a museum that's publically funded, the quality will suffer.
