Sorry for doing another 'please sell me a [insert thing here] thread, I've done one or two already recently but I thought I might as well try you lot.

I'm looking for an airport card. Not an airport extreme but one of the old ones, it's to go in an iBook G3. I thought maybe someone has one lying around they might like a few quid for, or has anyone seen them in a local shop or something like that? Help me EG, I want to slob on the sofa while using my new toy!

There was only one (the guy posted it twice) and I've emailed him but had no reply yet. If he still has it, then cool. I thought I'd try EG anyway, since there's lots of Mac types here.

The iBook is gorgeous btw. Rutty is in love with it too, which given that he has always been a bit anti-Mac, is quite surprising :)

The Powerbook I bought was perfectly nice btw, in case anyone's curious, but I spotted an ad for a 900Mhz iBook for sale, for £350 but I ended up paying £320, which IMO was a steal given the fantastic condition and everything.

Aye but the powerbook is going back on ebay. I bought it first then saw a better bargain and, figuring I should be able to get the money back for the powerbook from ebay, snapped up the iBook too :)

    I know, I know, I'm hopeless...

Whilst we're on the subject of Apple laptops, are there any rumours as to when we'll see x86 based Powerbooks?

I heard 2007 for laptops... Mid next year for desktops, but I don't know about the reliability of the source.

What powerbook are you selling? I'd be interested in one.

Laptops are gonna get Intel chips ASAP. 'Yonah', a dual core Pentium M comes out in January next year, which is a possibility, but Stevey J has stated that they're on track for shipping first Intel Macs from June-ish next year, which means they might be going stright off with the completely new architecture mobile chips, which come out around then. Either way; middle of next year, and they will be boomshanks. As it were.

    The powerbook is here: here.

I've bought a bag for it since I got it and should hopefully be able to up the memory up to 256MB. Ideally I'd want to get the same money back as I paid for it, which was £275 including delivery, or thereabouts.

As my ibook g3 has just gone to silcon heaven (horrible incident involving a hard drive replacement and accidently ripping the power connector off the logic board) I have an airport card and 512mb of PC 133 that are absolutely sod all use to me and i'm sure i could sling them in a jiffy bag and slap a stamp on it.

Speaking on behalf of AT, I'm afraid she's already sourced one so she doesn't need it anymore deem. Sorry about that.
