I was playing it in the 80s. It was a pac-man clone of sorts in that there was a maze, but you drove a car around, and there was other cars chasing you (no scrolling, all the 'maze' was visible). The difference was, there was balloons in the maze you could jump up onto and bounce over the other cars with... I think you could also bounce onto the cars IF you got the height by bounching onto a balloon first. I think the 'point' of the game was to clear all the balloons from the maze and not get hit by the cars. Any ideas? No idea why this just popped into my head... Bugging me now. Indentify this game: 80s pac-man clone with cars & bouncing balloons

Registered 16 years agoIt is at the very edges of my memory so I might be wrong but I'd say no it was not carwarz (I'll go check now though).
For some reason, I keep thinking about driving a VW Beetle or it had beetle or bug in the name?!?!?!?!? -

It wasnt the one where the cars had drills on the front of them was it? And you had to smash into your opponent?

Registered 16 years agoOk.. It's taken me long enough, but I found it.
I dunno though... In order to keep the idea that EG has never failed to 'discover' the game in question, surely someone ELSE has to get it right?
Apparently, it was released in 1983.
Anyone got it yet? Or do i reveal all? -

Not really popped it as you answered it yourself. And being an EG'er you've kept the dream alive

You're not the only one who's discovered a new publishing hourse today
Clearly not
Published by Karateco? Thats not even a proper publisher! How could we be expected to know? You've just found some crappy PD software and tried to stump us

Crappy PD? I'd spent ££££s feeding that machine insted of the (at the place I played back then) hugely popular Tarzan that was next to it.
Boabg. I'm glad you see it that way... Lets hope eveyone else does too, and the legend of EG will live on
