I'm not sure if it was just me, but Snap is about the most fun I had with Pokemon as of its release. Something about the way you got to properly interact with 3D models as opposed to pixellated 2D random-occurrences just twiddled some buttons, for me. And I was thinking... there's a lot to be made of this experience. Firstly, take it off rails and expand the locales, and you'd have a great game for the Revolution (even more so if it comes with a visor of some sort, as I'm still sure it will). Secondly, isn't this idea how Pokemon XD should always have been? What's with the random encounters and Shadow Pokemon? Just give us a nice, simple Pokemon Ruby clone in full 3D, with explorable environments in which to find actual critters. Then give us the Colosseum style battle-pap, but with extra real-time stuff going on in the mix. Throw in some snap-style behavioural friggery, and that could make for one damn fun game, even if you have to replace 'Pokemon' with 'Monkeys,' or something slightly less gh3y. No? |

Registered 18 years agoYeah, I loved Snap.
It was properly glorious, a brilliantly soothing game that I've wiped the cartridge and run through over and over.
It would be brilliant if it had any influence over future Pokegames. -

Registered 20 years agoPokemon Snap is one of my most favourite games of all times. I mean, you can knock a Mewoth off a cliff by throwing apples at him, amoungst other things - FANTASTIC!
Don't understand why they haven't made a sequel. -

Pokemon nethack, I believe. You have a party consisting of the various starter pokemon and traverse randomly generated dungeons.
