While partaking a nostalgia trip earlier, I remembered a PSone game which I used to love playing... problem is, I've forgotten the name. It was set in the future, and was a real-time strategy/shooter hybrid type thing. From what I remember, you were in control of a bi-pedal mech which looked a bit like that big scary thing from Robocop. I'm pretty sure that it was something to do with the police too, although that may be memories of G-Police confusing me. There were also multiple weapons that you could use if I recall correctly, and I seem to remember something about capturing automated defence posts that would attack nearby enemies. Anyway, there were other units as well which I believe you didn't control directly, but gave orders too. It think it may have just been the multiplayer where this is the case, but I remember there being red and blue teams, with each having a base. The idea was to protect your base whilst capturing the other. I seem to remember it having a capture the flag mode too. I'm pretty sure that you could build units in your base and set them out to defend it or attack the enemy base, but as I mentioned I think you were only ever in direct control of the one mech. One of the other units I remember was a hovering spaceship-looking thing. I also seem to remember that if your mech was destroyed, you'd respawn back at your base. The game was in 3D, but used a pretty zoomed-out viewpoint from what I remember, somewhat up and behind the mech. I seem to remember it looking reasonably simplistic, but nice all the same. So... any ideas? It's driving me nuts trying to think of the name. |

Registered 17 years agoFuture Cop LAPD, ahh! Pretty cool game. It was regarded somewhat sequel to the "Strike" series. I remeber the strategy deathmatch mode, played this this hundred times with my buddy, he lost(mybe won one or two times but that was it) every single time and still wanted to play.
EA was fun back then.

Registered 18 years agoyou see, if people went back to old, good franchises like this it'd be alright... but leave it at 1 or 2 comeback titles, don't force like 6 titles out of a franchise
