| So what does everyone think of the album after almost a week of listening? I want to say it's up there with their best. Possibly their best album since Amnesiac but time will tell. Certainly worth the wait. |
The best Radiohead album

Registered 14 years agoYeah it's a brilliant album from start to finish. I'd class it on par with In Rainbows but not quite up there with OK Computer and Kid A, which they will probably never equal.
The whole album just has a wonderful atmosphere and flow to it from one song to the next. -

Registered 7 years agoThe middle all merged into one a bit, probably needs one in there to change the place a little.
It has made me give more time to their other stuff and now I love In Rainbows. KOL is still hard work though.

Registered 20 years agoThe guitar on Identikit... wtf is that?
Rest of the album... might well grow on me. But despite there being plenty of their later catalogue I'm not keen on, there's still so much I am, and as such still one of my favourite bands.

Not sure about after a week; only listened to this for the first time tonight.
But I already think it's one of their best. King of Limbs was impenetrable. This has hooked and intrigued me already. Can't wait to listen a few more times. -
Well I've been listening to it non stop but I'm biased.
Certainly easier to love than KOL. I don't think it's quite up there with In Rainbows, OK Computer or Kid A but it's a fantastic album. -
Really love it now, got the Burn The Witch / Spectre Vinyl today - seems odd that Spectre wasn't on the album as it would fit perfectly and is fantastic. -

Registered 9 years agoThey've officially released their Spectre song btw chaps. For me, pure Radiohead goodness and would have been incredible. Glad it isn't associated with the film frankly.
Anyone get tickets for tonight? I'm off to Paris next week to see them, can't fucking wait.
Edit: clearly it is associated with the film. I mean it wasn't the official song and I am glad because it's too good.

Registered 9 years agoI like the new version. I do Prefer the live version but it would never had fit on a radiohead album post The Bends. -

Registered 9 years agoJust remembered they aren't playing in the UK tonight, that's next week. Oops.
Love the new version but will be impossible for it to beat the live one for me. -

Registered 5 years agoI like the new album and overall, it's much more accessible than the king of limbs (although it did have some beautiful songs on it. Separator is amazing).
Daydreaming is a beautiful track and Identikit has an awesome beat. I like the version of True Love Waits but it's not as profound as the live version they released some years ago. The new version does fit with this album though.
Not as good as In Rainbows for me but a solid album all round -

Registered 9 years agoSaw them in Paris last night, was predictably absolutely incredible.
Love how I said to my mate at lunch that I love Climbing Up The Walls...and they played it! But was super, setlist was exactly what I was hoping for. -

Right, firmly placing this joint third with Kid A, behind OK Computer and In Rainbows.
If spectre replaced tinker I might have ranked it higher! Can't believe how much my opinion has changed on this album -

Registered 18 years agoFor me, at the moment it's fine. They always get better with more listens, but after 5 or 6 listens it still all blends into one tbh. I don't think there's as many bangers as usual. It's fine. -

Registered 5 years agoI decided to sit down with a coffee and give In Rainbows another listen instead of A Moon Shaped Pool this morning. It's such a great album that will surely be regarded as one of their best. I used to get lost in In Rainbows when it was first released, and I still do on my 100th listen today. -
Tomorrow finally be able to hear MoonshapedPool, release cd version imminent, excited!! -
