It boggles my mind that the ridiculously priced Glastonbury tickets sellout in hours, a year before the festival, before any acts are announced. I bet it's the same middle aged, middle class, middle cunts that do it every year. Radiohead are one of my favourite bands, so I'm gutted there's no chance of seeing them at Glastonbury.
There's normally a resale in February isn't there? Might still be a chance....

Yeah, Glastonbury tickets are well worth the money, and there's so much more to the festival than just the line up.
It hasn't always been this way. 2008 only sold out of tickets on the day the festival started, but every year since then has been increasingly popular.

Well that was deeply stressful and traumatic, but I now have tickets for Manchester!

how long did it take you? I tried, but after 8 or so minutes of refreshing, it seemed to be all sold out? Couldn't get tickets :(

Me and someone else were trying, he got some in his basket at 10 past, but couldn't fill in the form before timeout. Then 5 minutes later he got some more but the form crashed. Then I got some at about 9:22.

It's always worth persisting as long as you can tolerate or until there's an official sold out notice posted. A lot of tickets get allocated, then people time out or have the site crash on checkout, so the stocks deplete then trickle back up a few times before they all actually go.

Anyone who missed out on Manchester tickets before, they've just announced both arena dates have been cancelled, replaced with one date at Old Trafford cricket ground, but as it's more than twice the size there will be extra tickets going on sale on Saturday.

I didn't see Radiohead at Glastonbury this year but I did see them a few weeks ago in the beautiful city of Florence! God it was great. Sunny, great food and the gig. Naturally, in a crowd of 15000, in a park in Italy, we end up standing next to an English couple from Brighton who live not far from me. Good times!

Managed to get an invite for the Emirates corporate box at Old Trafford next Tuesday. Happy days, but will get a slap on the wrist when I bugger off into the main crowd.

I really like the three previously unreleased tracks. Listening to OK Computer again last night. Album still gives me the goosebumps. Amazing.

Yup I'll be there with some mates from work.

Funnily my ex wife will be there also, the last gig we went to was Radiohead on the King of Limbs tour.

Wouldn't pay 75 quid + extra to see them but bumped into a few of them wandering around Manc the other day. Jolly nice chaps.

Was at Manchester last night. Thought the sound was quite poor. Maybe that venue wasn't the best acoustically. It was like playing with the volume cranked up, through speakers that can't handle it.

    Maybe where I was sat.

I was in the front standing bit, the acoustics were good there, but the mix wasn't the best. All the vocals were way too low, and Jonny's guitar was far too loud.

That's a shame :( When I saw them a while back at the O2 it was aceballs.

@Zom, what was the score with that fenced off front standing bit? I know it seems to be the trend with modern big name gigs but?
I was there on a corporate box freebie but was a bit annoyed I couldn't get down the front.

Seen them before at LCCC along with quite a few other acts, the sound was not the best but I put it down to my positioning.

@Trafford The front standing bit was for those of us who had floor standing tickets at the arena, we got a nice bump to the front.

Wasn't just the positioning, there was definitely something amiss with the mix. I was there for the IR tour too, and I've seen REM there a couple of times, and the sound has always been excellent before.

Definitely think it was to do with positioning - we were to the left of the stage (if you were facing it) - the bass was incredibly loud but it was quite difficult to pick out Johnny's guitar throughout the gig, especially the Paranoid Android freak-out.

    Everything else came through fine.

Set list was great, bit gutted I didn't get to hear Street Spirit or National Anthem live but hearing The Bends and Fake Plastic Trees more than made up for it :)

Sound at Glastonbury the other week was brilliant. Possibly the best I've heard of any band at Glasto. We were about level with the FOH desk though so that might be why

    @Rhaegyr

Yeah, The Bends was ace 😀
Most of the gig is up on YouTube, so a nice souvenir.

    Superb!

They've also just released a video for Lift, it's typically excellent.
