Anybody got a good condition, boxed with manual, copy of Desert Strike they're willing to part with for cashmoneywonga? I need it as a present for someone, and some little scroat just sneaked in with 5 minutes to go on an Ebay auction and kept chucking in bids until he beat me. I'll go back to Ebay if need be, but just thought I'd inquire of the great and the good round these here parts first... |

If you're near London, go to CEX just off Tottenham Court Road and go downstairs. Oodles of retro stuff, you're almost guaranteed to find it there. -

I work just round the corner from CEX, Gremmi. Don't know if you've been in there lately, but it's not what it was.
Having said that - I'll have a quick look tomorrow just in case.
Cheers Peej - If he's got the goods, drop me a mail and I'll take it off him.
And thanks too, Unhipzero - I'll bear you in mind.
Nice people round here... -

Thanks Angel.
We were up at my sister-in-laws last weekend, and one of my nephews (he's 16) was talking nostalgically about the megadrive that he and his brothers had borrowed from their Uncle when they were little, and how he's love to play Desert Strike again.
This from the three guys that have got an Xbox, Cube, PS2, N64 and a gaming room with a wide screen telly...
)
They're really good kids, and as it's the eldest's birthday in a couple of weeks, I've picked up a mint, boxed Megadrive for a tenner - just need Desert Strike now.
I'd got a £9.50 winning bid in for Desert/Urban/Jungle Strike in and them some oik jumps in with 5 minutes to go and keeps bidding till he grabs it. -

Registered 18 years agoDownstairs in Game Focus in Goodge Street has lots of retro stuff. The prices can be a bit inflated but you never know. If you don't get into the city much, I'm sure I could be talked into popping up there one lunchtime to have a look

I work about 500 yards from Game Focus - don't be using me as an excuse to go in there and feed your addiction! ;o)
