Link What I want to know is how did he create accurate simulation software at whatever age (12 or something) and run his own company until 15 when he sold it, and it was worth enough that he was able to buy a passenger jet, the capital for the airline company, and pay for 26 members of staff's wages to run the company. I'm sure there's something he/The Beeb aren't letting on, like he accepted a large wad of cash from his Father on his 13th Birthday. Correct me if you think I'm wrong, or if you know anything else about this. |
Little brat...

So The Telegraph says. Originally it was going to be Oxford to Cambridge but then he changed his mind. -

Fair play to him, it's a good idea and he's found a niche market.
No, you misunderstand. I'm not questioning his current business, it seems a good idea, although I don't know why he thinks people would trust a relatively inexperienced 19 year old over a different pilot.
I'm questioning how he came to be able to start this business, considering the seemingly impossible path he has taken.
He must have started his(?) aircraft simulation software business when he was 12/13 for a start, for it to make as much money as he's made out of it when he sold it. Also would you trust a piece of software, written by a 12 year old, that is meant to train pilots?! How the hell did he do it?! The only 12 year old software genius I know is the boy out of Hackers, and he's not real!
What I'm getting at, is that he probably inherited this business upon his Father's death or something, which he, or the Beeb, declined to share with us. -

Registered 18 years agoAch, don't worry yourselves, he'll end up having a sex change by the time he's 23 like the antiques kiddy a fair few years ago.
Famous, rich, breakdown, sex change.
I'm off down William Hill to put a bet on now.

Fair enough, I stand corrected.
I've no problem/chip-on-shoulder/bitterness about this at all. Good luck to him! Its good to see really.
I just can't see how a 12 year old can write flight sim software, and run a business at the same time. Thats all. There's being a good business man, and a superb programmer at an early age, say 16 or something. But BOTH, at what must have been the age of 12?! Thats impossible. Doesn't anybody agree with me, or at least understand my point. Or do you all see a thread started by Zerob, and take the opportunity to put me down, and automatically disagree with everything I say?
See what you've made me do. You've made me refer to myself in the 3rd person dammit! Wait there Macosi, I'm coming with you! -

Lol. Fair enough. Sorry, I thought you misunderstood what I was saying. -
We shouldn't be slagging off teen business tycoons on this forum!

Damn right. Success should be frowned upon. Especially when he employs 26 staff.
