In a follow up to the previous Sten Gun thread, I've now been back to the gunstore and had 50 rounds with the "little friend" in the thread title.

Christ it's ace! Damn accurate, not too heavy and as noisy as hell but I really enjoyed myself. My target has all hits in the top score zone from about 25-30 metres and the range instructor was pretty impressed.

So maybe Ghost Recon2 isn't over the top in its accuracy! Fun stuff, I'll just ignore the fact it cost me $75 to do it...

Weather here in Vegas is a bit dull but it's in the seventies and as I sit here in a food court overlooking New York, New York drinking a coffee I'm rather glad to be here! The real NYC beckons tomorrow.

You should try a full belt with the far manlier MG62 (an updated MG42 of WWII fame).

EDIT: Or a G3 on full auto with a full clip of tracers at night. After 3 of those, the barrel starts to glow faintly. Oh the memories...

Personally I miss my AK 5 (Sweden's modified FN FNC) a little.

Indeed. Still in the army, mind - but its been a while since I got to let 'er rip. Had the G3 as a recruit, and is currently using the Diemaco M8A2 (modified M4 Colt Commando). With a bit of luck we'll get some hands on with the new Light Support Weapon this August.
