I've used them regularly over the years and never had any problems, but I lean more towards ebuyer these days, mainly on price.

I've used them a few times over the years. The only trouble I really had was when a Western Digital HDD died on me and it took several weeks to get notification of whether I was getting a replacement or a refund - and even when I got a refund I wasn't exactly told until after it'd been issued. But that was a few years back, now. Before I also had an IBM Deathstar crash on me. :)

*edit - remembered manufacturer of my doomed drive*

have been a long time ebuyer fan mainly due to price but they have stuffed up my last 3 orders. They seem to not like part shipping anymore.

my last order was £260 but on the day of the supposed delivery i received an email saying that my order had been delayed because they were out of stock of a £2 roller ball mouse.....:-0

before that theyve charged me twice for a webcam - still trying to claim that back.....

    maybe using dabs next time.

Dunno if you've seen, but they've also got the Creative Zen Touch 20GB for £140.....

Bit rich for me, so prob going with the Creative Zen Nano 1GB for £80, which I thought was pretty bargainous in itself.

Hey, KoS - if that's what you're after, why not get it from Amazon?

You'd save a few sheets, plus they seem to have the same wait-time as Dabs - a week or so.

*edit* - Amazon are £5 cheaper and have free delivery

Yeah, a quick search shows them at the £200 so Dabs must be stockdumping... The next version out soon?

I've used to to buy a new speaker system for my PC without any hassle at all. They even turned up the day after I ordered them, no additional cost :o)

However a mate of mine bought some Memory (1Gb RAM) from them about 3 months ago, and he is still sorting out with them to get it replaced as it turned up DOA.

This is because Dabs don't normally honour the warranties for components themselves, so if you have any problems you have to go to the original manufacturer. The problem then is getting to two companies to communicate with each other so that the manufacturer can get the required information they need from Dabs. Dabs have been very very slack in contacting the Memory manufacturers(Corsair I think) so they can sort this out......

Moral of the tale, if you have no problems you'll be fine but their customer service is lacking when it goes wrong

    Completely the opposite for me.

eBuyer never told to effectively FOAD when I found some hardware wouldn't work with my MoBo, and they've never managed to deliver to the wrong house and inform me the order has been returned by me (!) even though the name given wasn't mine (!) and then charge me the re-stock fee :/
