Decent Web Development / Programming Forums and Books?

    I want to learn HTML, XHTML, PHP, ASP.Net and Visual Studio.

    Yes I saw that mate, its what gave me the idea to get some books and find a forum for helping me aswell.

    I don't really like web based tutorials you see and find it easier to get a book and learn from that you see and would like to know of a popular forum as that would help when I have problems I can't address when using a book.

    Thanks for the suggestion though mate and good luck with what your doing.

    Ta very much mate - it's a frightening undertaking for a web dev n00b like myself but one that I have procrastinated about for too long! To this end, I thought I would create a thread here about it and breathe new life in to aformentioned procrastination! ;)

    For web programming stuff, especially asp.net, you can't go wrong with 4guysfromrolla

    Agreed some really useful stuff up there.

    Also www.devx.com you should be able to find references up there for books etc.
