tv help - i have an AV S-video channel but no 4pin svideo connector on tv...

    do i have svideo? whats the best connection i get twixt ps2 and tv?

    do i have a scart svideo port?

    Sounds like it. Most TV have just SCARTs at the back and a proper S Video connection under the front flap or sometimes stuck on the side.

    You can get an S Video connector to SCART adapter.

    Best connection generally is RGB SCART - totally different console cables than for S Video.

    just had a quick look, top to toe. no svideo ports. must be this scart svideo thing.

    rgb scart ya say? will have a look around.

    If you cannot get hold of an official sony RGB SCART then I highly recommend the IXOS cables.

    Most TVs have at least one RGB SCART input - worth checking you definitely have one before buying the cables.

    Best check the tv manuals to see which ports supports what format. It's possible to have three ports and only one of them support RGB for instance.

    dont forget that s-video is a signal type (like the 2 ntsc types and the pal type) as well.
