In the Netherlands you greet a woman with three kisses to the cheek. No other country I've been in seems to do as much kissing as we. Don't show up at someone's house around diner-time without first calling. We hate that. In Hungary it's considered a sin to clink your non-alcoholic drink filled glass with an alcoholic filled one in a cheers. At least where I was. In restaurants in Hungary when they so much as sense that you're almost done with your food they come to take your plate away. Everytime I was in a restaurant there I had to ward of a few waiters, no I'm not done yet! |
