I'm away for a week and EG go and add more features... Must check them out ASAP! Uuuuh anyway, I was in Philadelphia all week. I got back this morning so apologies if this is a bit fragmented... Anyway I got to witness the Xbox360 launch, Thanksgiving and Black Friday first hand. Completely unplanned, I didn't realise they were all that week when I booked. The 360 launch was so very VERY underwhelming. I went to Franklin Mills as my friend works in a indie chain called Gamestore there. They had received NO 360s. The local Wallmart got 13 and EB got less... All had sold out within hours. The media were really down on the 360 too, I saw several reports on the likes of Fox29 news and CNN about how the 360 isn't worth it etc etc. I didn't hear any reports about the crashes, but heard plenty through word of mouth. Black Friday I just HAD to witness first hand. We got to the local mall before 9am and it was like the center of Liverpool midday Saturday! Although I noticed a couple of arguments the media on Saturday showed fights and a shop being broken into early... Sheer madness, never seen anything like it! Anyway, I'm off to lie down. Or maybe I'll read some thread first, I've got a lot of catching up to do. |
