Would be nice, but... dunno. Possibly they'd be waiting to see how Serenity does on DVD first, seeing as it didn't do so great at the box office.

More Firefly can only be a good thing of course, so fingers crossed indeed :p

if its a feature packed dvd i'm there, and due to its geek heritage, it will be.

More Firefly would be preferable, but this sounds promising at least.

Not seen the film yet, but loving the Firefly box set. Got Serenity sitting here on my hard drive unwatched, I'd rather wait and buy the dvd later this month.

Bah, I don't want another film, I want a few more series.

The film felt a little bit like they'd crammed the whole rest of the series (another 7 episodes or so) into 2 hours, so I'd like to see the next phase of the story done properly, in the same way as Babylon 5.

I want long, overarching stories in my sci-fi dammit.

well keep in mind that universal owns movie rights, but fox owns tv rights (for 10 years from initial showing) , I presume it's to the IP, and not to the name of the series.
so maybe a made for tv movie is a sneaky way around fox being asshats for the next 7 years.

I was slowly scrolling down this page waiting to see Crispy! :p

TV movie's not ideal but I'll take anything more from these guys.

And if the TV movie does well and gets an audience maybe then we'll get another series!

What a messed uplineage that wold be

Tv Series -> Cinema release movie -> TV movie -> TV Series

Then they'd probably cancel it gain and the cycle continues!

They should make an 45 minute long TV movie of Serenity every week :D

which is pretty impressive when you think about it, given that they actually crammed in another 7 episodes or so, and then an entire nuther season. serenity ended around where his jossness planned season 2 to finish.
