Registered 18 years agoI only started playing this today (thanks a million, Alastair!) but it's weird... I can't get any of the townsfolk to give me any errands. Course there's only three of them so far but only one asked me to get her a new outfit, and I can't convince either of the other two to let me deliver something for them
Tis a bit annoying. Other than that it's lovely, I forgot how much I loved it on the Cube. -

Registered 18 years agoAw, I loved them, it was another way of getting some cool stuff, and some cash for the not-so-cool stuff. I guess I'll have to resort to turnips then! Or fishing. -

How good is this then now people have had chance to play it for a while? Considering asking for it for xmas. How is it compared to the GC version? -

Registered 20 years agoQuick first impressions from me...
1) It's a lot smaller than the cube version. This is good for me though, I hated all that trudging around
2) No swapping stuff unless it's online or link up which is a bit sad really.
3) It's still crack cocaine on a cartridge. Horribly horribly addictive (spent most of yesterday playing it, and then accidentally deleted my town because of the horrible menu system when you use buttons instead of a stylus).
4) It's good fun but so far early on, no real use for the DS's special features apart from drawing shirt / brolly patterns.
It's amazing how they've managed to squeeze it onto the DS but it does suffer from a few stripped down features.

There's more than this worth getting a DS for! To name but a few, Mario Kart DS fulfils many people's desires of online gaming, Meteos is such a superb puzzler I can't put it concisely into words, Ossu! Tatake! Ouendan! need I say more..., many other classics and many more to come!! Gotta buy a ticket, gotta buy one, gotta buy buy buy, a ticket...
is this worth getting a DS for?

Registered 16 years agoI ordered from Movietyme and it was sent to me just a couple of days ago.
Always fast from there, very happy with all orders.
So far, the game is good. It's taking a bit of getting into, but I expected that. I just delivered my first item working for Nook, woo. How in hell will I ever pay this house off?

From the sounds of people's experiences with Movietyme, they sound a bit like Dvdboxoffice who ship at timed periods, not when orders are received. Some of the orders I've done with Dvdboxoffice have been super speedy (as in a few days after order) and others have been literally weeks...
God damn it movietyme!

I've never had any trouble with VG+ so am hopeful to get it in the next couple of days (ordered about 12 days ago). Perhaps having it shipped to my work address has caused it to be intercepted and pilfered!! Hope not as my copy of CoD2 was sitting on my desk when I came in...

Registered 16 years agoAs fun as this game has been all day... what the hell are you supposed to do on it? The ONLY thing I can think of doing is fishing, and I've only managed to do that right once... and caught a tire. -

Registered 20 years agoThey've added loads of stuff I reckon. Already after only 3 days or so I've come across loads of things. There's Dr. Shrunk the psychoanalyst who teaches you to express your emotions (already learned shyness), there's new items like the watering can, slingshot and timer, Lyle the health insurance salesman.... loads of stuff!
The online wifi stuff is brilliant. I've only gone visiting twice so far but it's great fun. -

I'm going to have to get through the front door before Mrs Boo tonight. If she sees a parcel from the States she'll twig what's what. -

I've got an Arwing in my Cube village!
I've also got about a kerjillion weeds - why won't Spooky Bob or whatever his name is, turn up.
I met him a couple of time when I didn't need him - now I've got weeding on the scale of the 13th task of Hercules, he's nowhere to be seen. -
