Again!?!?!
Oh dear! We have a cat called Katie bawling her eyes out as she wants to go back to her home NeoTokyo!!
You'd have thought she'd learnt her lesson! -
Ooh, my second crop of fruit ripened today - I've now cut down 90% of my village's original trees and replaced them with mixed fruit trees, it's really lovely, like wandering through an orchard. .gif)
Mind you, had three axes break on me in the process.
Now got four palm trees on my beach.
Also managed to bring down a balloon for the first time today.
Will go online a bit later. -

If you leave spaces between the flowers, then apparently they will multiply. If you pick flowers from other parts of the village and replant them, no I don't think anyone's going to come and plant new ones. Of course you can buy new flowers every day at Nook's.
Also, if I plant lots and lots of flowers, will more grow naturally? Also, if a flower loving animal lives in the town, and I still all of her flowers, will she grow some more back? -
Yep - three days later. -

Bah! WIFI dropout, system crash, another 20k bells' worth of fishing down the toilet! >
Otto!! You were on just now? Where did you go?
I'm getting fed up of this. Going to stop leaving my town gates open. -
Bah! I can't even attach the spoiled turnips to the letter!
This day is going from bad to worse. Time to turn off and go to bed. >

If it's like the Cube version, you'll win a town 'tile' (a scale model of a feature of your village). I assume that eventually you can create a scale model of a village in your house, and get some stupidly high HRA score as a result, but I'm just guessing. He should have given it to you, but if he hasn't then yes I assume you'll get it in the post. I'm unlikely to find out as the chances of me now catching another tuna that's bigger than 88.1 inches are remote. I'm going after Drift now with an axe. And he's getting spoiled turnips in the post.
Well I did win the competition, but I didn't get anything yet - not even a lukewarm handshake! Can I expect my price in the post, or did I miss anything? -
Use the phone when you start up.
In the meantime... SONOFABITCH!! I just gave Tortimer my tuna and... he told me that cnut Drift has already handed one in an inch bigger than mine!! /steaming mad
Not having a good day in Ottowa. >:X -
I only bought them a couple of hours ago!
I've worked it out though. They spoil if you change the town clock. No time travel.
I time travelled last week (literally, seeing as I moved to a different time zone and adjusted my town clock accordingly) and then this evening I've adjusted the clock so I can take part in the fishing contest.
Pissed off, but not suicidally - I only bought a few, as Joan was asking an absurdly high price (109 per turnip I believe - same as last week).
I might send the spoiled neeps to Rocco the Rhino. -
I'm exceptionally hacked off, for the second week in a row the turnips I've bought from Joan have all spoiled. What am I doing wrong? This time all I did was buy them, I haven't even moved them from my inventory yet. -
Khab wrote:
Nope. You 'invite' them by giving out your friend code. They can then see you when you open your doors (assuming they've entered your code correctly on their machines).
Rilly? I thought since you "invite" people over you had to have them on your list first... -
Oooh, 16,000 bells for one lot of red turnips. Seeds cost 1,000. Joan won't sell me more than one lot of red turnip seeds, the cow. Sorry sow. -

To visit a distant town they don't need to add you, you just have to add them.
Ah-ha.
I canna go anywhere - no distant towns open...
Peej, have you added me? -

As long as there are other people in your town then saving will not end the game. If you're on your own in your town, gates open or not, saving will end the game. Of course you can then just 'continue'. ;p
One thing I need to know: How the hey do I save when I'm using Wi-Fi and do not want to end my game? All I keep getting is "Save and End"! Do I have to be somewhere in particular? -

You do realise you can do this? Just stand at the foot of the bed and hit the A button, it will prompt you to swap your bed (obviously you need a second bed in your inventory at the time). Mine is now a spacious Lovely Bed.
On a side note, I do question the 'implementation' of beds in this game. Surely they should just replace the bed upstairs, so that it actually has some use? It would appear on the loading screen, then, too. There's no point to having a bed downstairs in this game. -

Not as rare as I thought. The following day I caught two, gave one to the museum (Blathers went mental hence my thinking it was a bit special) but when I sold the other it only brought in a couple of thousand bell.
I caught a koi, too. Gave it straight to the museum. Worth a lot, then, is it? What about the tuna? -
I'm going on in an hour or so. I'm time travelling tonight as I've been out all day and want to take part in the fishing tourney, so feel justified in turning the clock back a couple of hours.
Weird thing this morning - message in a bottle washed up on my beach, again - it was from me! >
-

Yeah I've done that. -
Oooh that stringfish is highly valuable! Keep it carefully until you decide what to do with it. Might win for you on Sunday.
Worth 15k bells. -

Crashes are a fact of life with WFC, from time to time. Just save often when using it.
It's a competiton to catch the biggest fish possible. At the end of the memo it said "Get Fishing" so I assume any fish on any day will do.
Some guy appeared outside my post office in a green tent but kept asking for a password. No idea what that was all about and now he's gone.
When I got in from work the other morning I opened up the gates (I didn't understand the friends list concept and tried playing while online as an experiment). The game crashed soon afterwards
I wonder is it possible for Nintendo to come out with a fix for game bugs using their online service.
The chap with the green tent is Crazy Redd, he's a dodgy geezer who sells stuff, some of it kosher, some of it not, you takes your risks. You need to talk to your villagers to get the password the first time, and he'll charge you a membership fee, after that he'll send you a password in the post. He turns up fairly regularly.
Still not sure about the fishing tourney, memory of the Cube one says it was the day itself. Still. Just keep fishing for a tuna, that'll be the biggest. -

The white look is excellent. You look like something scary from some film.
Actually I think I look cool all in white. I'll order you a tache and glasses set when the shop opens in the morning.
Thx for that moustache. I'll get you the Mario hat. Then we can both look like Mario and, er... Mario. (Note to self: get Luigi hat) -
Yes, if they start growing then they'll eventually become pear trees. They don't bear fruit until the third day after they're full grown.
You can store extra stuff (a lot of extra stuff) once you have a wardrobe or a cupboard - they're pretty essential. Mind you, you can't store fish or insects in there. You'll have to make floor space in your house to keep fish in tanks. Not sure the competition on Sunday will let you enter fish you've caught on other days, I just don't know. I assume it will be a competition for how many fish caught in one day.
I'm still really really miffed about that game crash. So much money gone and especially that koi! It'll be months before I catch another one, I bet! >
-
lol @ jiro & tim's barnets!
Loving that poodle stylist!
-
My apologies to whoever just tried to get into Ottowa - Jiro was in my new hair salon getting his barnet done, meaning no-one else could get in. And then the bastard thing crashed *again* (only 10,000 bells lost this time). >
Anyway, back online now. -
I'm too pissed off to go on now. Going out for a meal, might be back on later if my DS survived being hurled against the wall.
-
Aaaaaaaaaauuugghhh! WORD OF WARNING! If you leave your town gates open for visitors, even if no-one visits your game can still crash!
I just spent over an hour fishing, made over 40,000 bells *and* donated a very rare koi to the museum... and it crashed! Lost it all! Waaaaaah! :'( -
Is your AC town's name Angmar?
-
Bah! It's not a spoiler in my book. >
It's there to be read in any preview of the game... -
Sorry m8. I've hidden it a bit more carefully.
