Does anyone know of somewhere I could get a Sega Nomad repaired? I live in London, but sending it off shouldn't be a problem.

Ah shite, they said they can't do it since they don't have any spare parts for it.

    Any other suggestions?

Ha ha no, they're bloody not. Found somewhere that converts and mods Nomad's, so maybe they can repair it too, here's hoping. If not, I could always sell it on eBay and make my money back.

Well it can play almost every game, but not all, so there's a mod to sort that out, also JAP carts are physically bigger than the slot, so that's widened. Lastly, the 50hz output can be boosted up to 60hz I believe. It's only £30, so I might get it along with the repair if they do them.

Also, I only paid £20 for the broken Nomad, so a repair and that price would be cheaper than buying a working one. All the one's listed on eBay work, so if I could get one for £20, that'd be a bargain, but doubt it's going to happen, so I'll just have to get it repaired.

I liek the idea of buying a Nomad. It's almost anti-PSP, if you get my meaning. :)

And I think £170 is way too much for a handheld. I'd rather get a GP32 and lots of older consoles. It has no worthwhile games either, not to forget.

Just spoke to the bloke from Raven Games, seems like a sound fella, going to try and fix it, if no luck, it's free of charge. Can't tell me a price though, which is a bit worrying, since if it was too much, I'd just get a working one.

How much was that, and can it play CD-R's now?

    Try Mikrolive

They provide repairs for SEGA consoles so it may be worth dropping them a line.
