    Oh shit! I remember Nuon!

I guess DVD Gaming didn't really take off, shame tho, some tech companies put loads of money intoit too.

Oooo, I've been looking for a Nuon for a while! Erm, long story really, but the short of it is, if you like Tempest it's worth getting, otherwise forget it.

I wanted one of these, Tempest on board, sound to light by Mr Minter again and brute force 3D through a clever media processor wasn't it?

DVD gaming? And what is that like exactly?

I need to paste hyperlinks rather than the whole thing.

Hehe, i got a Nuon. I have the original white version which is purely a games machine (i think, never tried a DVD on it). Nuon was a technology made for DVD players firstly, it allows some basic games and had that crazy acid light show jeff minter is always getting stoned to. The console was a limited release, and apart from having the acid light show and a couple of jeff minter games was more of a fan service for the llama boys than a proper console release. a lot of dvd players have nuon tech of some sort but don't have the joypad ports to play games on, some sites exist dedicated to 'hacking them' back into games machines.

Tempest 300 is pretty good, and Spaces Invaders XL was alrite - but then you have shite like Merlin Racing etc which just showed you it wasn't ever supposed to be a games only console. I think it had about 6/7 games.

    Hmm intresting.

How'd you link website addresses on here, rather then looking at the help section.
