Not a fan of the one picture rule, it was VERY hard to choose;)

This is my favourite but it's a horrible scan. I'm giving the real hand print as part of a set of four as a Christmas present.

Cheers, I most post a few more in a different thread when I get a chance. Anyone know of a good site for uploading a portfolio, except Deviant Art?

A landscape would probably be a safer bet but nowadays my favourite kind of photography is street photography. So, I'll say this one.

Nice photo, but I actually prefer this one. I think it appeals to my inner pessimist :)

Really great photos, jaa. You know what, the one guy who wrote the comment isn't wrong - the analogue pictures have a special look somehow, compared to the digital ones (which are great too, don't get me wrong).

Thanks, Lou. I agree with you and with him. I think digital tends to be prettier but analogue can be more attractive. I tend to use digital on holidays and family gatherings but I do prefer film for street photos (partly because the M7 excels in that domain and I love using it). A good photoshopper can probably (and easily) get a similar look with digital though...

I don't have a digital camera and the nearest I have is the crappy one on my smartphone, which I very rarely use. However, this one is great. Appalling quality (probably the worst in the entire thread) but a great one nonetheless :)

Bah, pro, coming along and spoiling our fun! ;p

    Otto, yours is better :)

Not that yours isn't amazing Keyser, I just prefer otto's.

Technical quality may be less than perfect but I do LOVE the subject. Unfortunately, I don't think he's dead.

I went to a mates birthday party back at the start of the summer. He is the most chilled out person ever, he's like a walking buda.

    Proof !

I'm going to say this one. I'm very happy with it, and I think it really shows a step forward for my portraits. So pleasing to really nail a person capture like that.

    Probably this one

Colours were a bit more vivid in real life but I don't like to fiddle too much :)

edit: uploaded a full-res version (hopefully the compression won't crappify it)

Lovely pics on this thread btw. It's nice to be able to click on a link on EG and know that it's pretty safe to do so.
