    Bros: When The Screaming Stops

    BBC iPlayer

Bros reform for a one off show almost 30 years after breaking up and falling out with each other.

Part Anvil: The Story of Anvil part David Brent level wisdom sharing.

    Must see.
This was so good. Proper parody stuff but actually real. Highly recommended.
I have it recorded from BBC4 after reading all about it on here. Looking forward to watching the car crash!

I think it's on iPlayer too for those that didn't record it. I won't spoil the many brilliant and hilarious lines but there are some all time classics.

Men Who Swim Ė a fascinating and original documentary about male synchronized swimming, originally a BBC Storyville production. Itís a really pleasant watch with an eye opening ending. Itís been repeated on BBC occasionally and unfortunately only to buy on Netflix but if you get a chance I would recommend it.

This was subsequently made into a film starring Rob Rydon called Swimming With Men which I have not seen and frankly have no desire to see as I donít wish to taint the documentary in my eyes.

I'm actually watching it at the moment. The bald one seems ok, the other one is off his tits.

Although the bald one has now started playing drums. He looks like he's having some kind of fit.

That Bros documentary is something else.

I loved the fact there's hardly any of their music in it (cos the documentary makers aren't that cruel) and instead they've boiled it down to 90 minutes worth of arguments, bad plastic surgery and fortune cookie wisdom.

I imagine that road sweeper must be feeling a million dollars knowing he's a king in the eyes of Bros.

Good, but not in the same league as "You can't really dust for vomit"

also how did they not mention Craiggggg (not David) once ? or did they.

also, Matt wearing a wig, weave, transplant ? looking at 1980'2/90's vid's they is no way that hair was sticking around, much like his brovvers bonce.

The not knowing how to pronounce epitome and getting the meaning completely wrong was a highlight for me.

Oh yeah, wtf was that about? I was watching it thinking that I'd been using the wrong definition of the word.

If you go to Vegas, Matt Goss posters are everywhere, the yanks seem to like him for whatever reason.

It's a shame Luke Goss didn't carry on being Del Toro's go-to guy, he's pretty good in Blade 2 and Hellboy 2. All the insanity in that doc seems to come from Matt, so Vegas seems to have gone to his head.

It was more Christopher Guest than anything he's actually written. I wish it had been a series, not a film. It's all over too quickly.

Matt Goss, going up the embarkment ramp to the plane: ahh, British Airways! They love me, we're like family
BA flight attendant, literally two seconds after this: fuck off nobber, plane's not ready yet
Matt Goss: plane's not ready yet

Bros doc was indeed great. The Patridge-isms of the first act, the massive rows of the second act and the happy pay off of the final part all gelled pretty well together.

Less lol-worthy but still interesting is the Storyville David Koresh doc that's up on iPlayer. Doesn't hit the heights of Wild Wild Country, but is pretty interesting. They got access to a bunch of FBI recordings that havent previously been aired.

Seemingly I'm a sucker for doccos about cults and cult leaders. I'll watch anything about Scientology.

That Waco documentary is excellent. Especially seeing the conflicts between law enforcement agencies and that some are still such strong believers.
