Registered 7 years agoThis game is beyond awful. The game is a buggy mess and just plain crap. One of the worst games I have played in a long time. LOL @ the people defending DNF.

I don't mind sticking my neck on the line and admitting I had fun with the game. This is not as someone who paid for it (well, okay, I rented it, but it came as part of my Lovefilm package anyway) or someone who you would consider a fan of the original (I played it, once, one level of it, that's it).
There's a lot wrong with it but I do find it a little offensive to start berating people who had a decent experience with it as though such a thing were akin to insanity or stupidity. By all means please trash the game, I'd be the first to admit it deserves it but to chastise those who found a bit of intrigue or joy beneath the dated and flawed exterior strikes me as a little vindictive. There are plenty of people who either have an axe to grind or a bridge to find here. -
i know what you mean Inquisitor. but its (apparently) cool to hate duke atm. tbh, the only duke nukem game i played was DN3D on xbla recently, so i'm not the worlds number 1 rabid fan either. /shrug -

I just played the PS3 demo. It's not the second coming or anything, but not as bad as people are saying. The audio is abit craply mixed- the bgm and some of the voice is too quiet. The graphics are poor but not terrible. Great quips from the Duke.
I'll probably enjoy the full game, I'll get it when it's iro £10.
I said DNF is obviously mediocre at best. But I didn't hate the demo as you guys seem to have and even just a remake of old school Duke would've been fine by me. Everyone seems to have said that the demo is the weakest part of the game, and some people (mostly older gamers like me) have said they think the full game is ok- that's enough to get a buy out of me, when there's a game drought and when the price is right. -

How is the demo compared to the full game? I really enjoyed the demo a lot, despite it being technically lacking.

Registered 16 years agoThe second part of the demo is one of the weakest sections of the game, which is why it was a very strange decision why they used it.
I still stand by my enjoyment of the game, it's flawed but I had fun on the PC. -
