The day I start understanding the logic behind what things Razz takes offence at, is the day I, well, am a whole lot smarter than I am right now.

I know 'why' it could be offensive, but I'm not using it in an offensive manner. But, as you've obviously taken offense to it, I'll get rid of it.

In fact, I'm taking the piss out of your comments on slave labour and fat people why I find equally as offensive, you obviously don't care however but as I'm a nice guy, I'll edit my comment for you. Maybe you can return the favour one day eh?

    I just got the joke.

It's a reference to the fatties on flights thread init? Good stuff, I took it out of context.

I was going to write a long post about how there are more than likely no black people in sweat shops in China, and how Africa isn't even close to being at that stage of development, I mean how often do you see "made in Africa", not yet, not for a while. And you subconsioucly mention 50 Cent. FFS... what the hell was I supposed to think.

But I now I remember the fatties on airlines thread, and that your original post was just a joke and a refernce to it. Please mate, if your going to to do this again, put a smiley on it or make it clear to what's it in reference to.

I knew about the black and China parts, but I just hadn't pieced together the whole puzzle. Anyway, the only persons morriss is ever nasty towards are me and koti, so don't take him all that seriously... *Sniff*

The price cut is pretty much granted, but enless Sony seriously delays the Ps3, Halo 3 won't be out day and date. I think Gates actually corrected his comment on this, recently, somewhere. Pretty stupid for the head of the company to say such a thing in the first place though :/

I agree with that summary of Nintendo's stratedgy in the upcoming year. Is this the first time in the game industry that someone has tried this kind of co-existence with the most popular console?
Definately deserve some credit for trying such a thing. Success will be the hardest part of it though ;)

    \o/

I didn't know Bill Gates had said this, I thought it was pure speculation. LOL! Why uncover your business plan to the world?! Anyway, you think success with the Rev will be hard for Nintendo? Please explain... I'm not being diffucult I'm truly interested. Yes, I'm aware that the Gamecube kind of died in this country, and didn't do that well in other territories either, but Nintendo made a profit right? They're still the make the most money from consoles on the Market, and they do so well, I mean it's their sole business.

Its just, as far as I know, no one has tried to release a console, that isn't there to directly compete. Call me pesimistic, but if it hasn't been tried and test before, then I can't help but be skeptical (also what I though about the DS, til I got one).

I find it hard to imagine how Nintendo will market such philosophy and if they'll be able to hit that sweet price spot. So it does genuinly become accessable as a second console, to the mainstream consumer. If the average Joe is even interested in buying two consoles per generation and likes or even understands (because their stoopid!) the concept behind of the controller.

It's definately going to be a gamble for ol' ninty and will change everyone's perspective of the three companies involved by this time next year :)

True. But many people are bored of the current trend of the videogames market, I mean the nature of the console market hasn't changed much in 3 generations. It's about time for something different, the hardware's been established. Now it's about time to focus on something else.

Like what though? Rev controller? Ineresting concept, very interesting but I really want to see how well it works. It could be resigned to being another of Nintys gimmics.

To be fair, apart from the Virtualboy, none of those were the primary control method/use for the console. The Rev's pretty much selling itself on the controller alone, with back catalogue coming a close second.

ROB and The PowerGlove were cool and are sort after collectables sto this day.

Have no idea what that NES thingy your talking about.

The N64HDD made it to JApan and several games were released but it was too little to late, Sega was the worst offender with these add on consoles. Plus we'll see 64DD games on the Rev for download, iirc

Virtuaboy was Nintendo's darkest hour, why they bothered with it I'll never know, but I'm sure several people's head rolled for that one.

The Expansion pack, wasn't a gimmick it was an essential item for many games

The Gameboy player, is a successful gimmik, Esp, in Japan, I loads of people with them.

The GC/GBA link up, have u even played WW or four swords or FF: CC?

Yeh sure, carry on mate. :p

THe HDD doesn't even count IMO, as it was only ever released in Japan to subcribers of Nintendo's internet service for a limited amount of time.

Oh and Razz I wasn't slagging off Ninty if that's what you thought. I love them. To put in context I thought the DS was going to be a bit of a Ninty gimmic too. Look at how wrong I was about that eh. I am not saying the Rev controller will be a gimmic but the potential is there if they don't get the implementation right.

Tbh, I think it depends on how you define success.

It's not important. I know your only concerned about Ninty. So is everybody but after the DS, I think you can rest a little easier. Plus I've tried out the freestyle controller, I know what I'm talking about when I say it's not like anything you've ever used before. It's not just a gimmick.
