I'm planning a trip to Prague beginning of July, but not quite sure where to start as far as hotels are concerned.

I need to find one reasonably cheap that will accept all male parties (of maybe 6).

I thought I'd throw the question open to the EG knowledge base as we are so well travelled, any good experiences out there?

I rented an apartment for four or five days when I last went. Only for me, the wife and kid, but if you're looking for cheapness, just two people could rent it and an infinite number could sleep there ... sort of.

Sorry to butt in with unwanted advice that you havent asked for, but if you like crappy euro trance music make sure you go to club roxy

i can't remember much about the night apart from it was about £1 a beer, had about 3 or 4 floors with different tpyes of music, was open till about 4 or 5, and i had a bloody awesome time.

we stayed in some youth hostel type jobbie that we found on google. it was OK. no rats or anything, and we had a room to the 5 of us.

Have to agree that club is awesome! Particulaly the 4th floor which plays classics 70's and 80's tunes and the local ladies loved the fact that we knew the lyrics and some dance moves!

Just find yourself somewhere in the middle of Wenceslas Square is what you want for all round access to the "entertainment" available. Can't remember who we booked with sorry.

Watch out for the local gypsies who will offer themselves to you for a discount and then rob you.

Can't remember where we stayed in Prague, but we found it through Expedia.
    Good price and hassle free.

I and some friends are also looking to go here. I take it this wnenenebrej square place is the main 'lively' area?
What are prices and stuff like and the nightlife and so on...i know the beverages are supposed to be cheap.
    Sorry to hijack, cheers!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Andels Design Hotel; found a super cheap package for it on Expedia. It was the bestest hotel EVAR! Google it up, it is as good as it looks.

From what I remmeber the lager etc was failry expensive but the spirits dirt cheap. We were on pints of Jim Bean and coke for about 75p. The average speed of a taxi driver through a busy street is about 65mph so you're best walking to most places. No visit to Prague is complete without an evenings entertainment in 'Goldfingers'. ;o)

Cheers for the info guys, been at work so haven't been able to reply until now.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, we're more a rock music and bar type crew, but a good place to find some nice tourist girls sounds like a plan too ;)
