Registered 16 years agoNot exactly sure why everyone's going nuts about this.
You pay nearly 400 quid for a console and you're going "yay" about Worms? Did I miss something here?
It'd better be live-mulitplayer enabled, at the very least.
Oh and 2D

Registered 16 years agoThing is, the last couple of Worms games were live enabled (admittedly 3D but still...) and you can count the number of people who bought those and played them on LIVE on the fingers of a one armed man
Peej -
What with the relatively few games available and the dearth of quality it's not really a surprise.
Anyway, worms is a great game wether you play it on a £280 quid console or not.
/is glad to fill your requirements Furbs. -

Registered 16 years agoWorms World Party for the PC (the best of the 2D worms) = £4.99 and has net play
See what I'm getting at here? No? Ahhh that'll just be me bemoaning the fact that a next gen console should have something bloody better than WORMS to look forward to for it, surely?

You're right, Peej won't be getting it.
Peej will be getting a 360 to play PGR3 on and probably by the looks of it, fuck all else.

There's loads to look forwardvto. I do however, like the option to play classic games on my XBox360 (not on my PC). I don't know why this is. -

Anyway, Team 17 = one trick ponies.

Honestly, Worms is perfect for XBL Arcade and no-one will be twisting your arm to get it.
Titles for the 360 will be along directly. In the mean time, chillax and perfect that banana-bomb lob for a 4-worm superkill accumulator. -

Can you back that up???
AFAIK the only real critcism of Worms of late, was with their attempts to "get with the 21st century" by making it all 3d and ruining the gameplay.
Xbox Arcade should be thought of as a platform separate to the 360. It's not meant to be "next-gen". It's simply an accessible way to play fun polished games at decent prices in the living, with online scoreboards and live multiplayer occaisionally.
The new worms game will be 2D. I loved worms, especially online, and I welcome the opportunity to play a new version on Xbox Arcade. -
