I work for MS Tech suport (lower your pitchforks!) and am being sent to Derry next week to train in some n00bs. Anyone from Derry wanna met up for a pint? (Of 7up!) Also I'll be living in a hotel on my own for a week up there. Time to invest in a DS? |

It's got some of the best looking females on the whole island too, there's something in the water. Try Badger's at the lower entrance to Foyleside shopping centre for some pretty decent stout, you'll need to cross the border into Donegal for the really good stuff though. -

Registered 16 years agoDay One:
Woke up a bit late, made it in time but breakfast was sacrificed. Slept all the way on the plane, arrived a groggy sweaty mess. No worries, get a taxi to the hotel and get washed up first.
Oh wait, room not ready till twelve, had to head straight to the office.
Arrived there a groggy sweaty mess. Good first impression. Got changed in a toilet cubicle. Ever gotten changed out of a suitcase in a toilet cubicle? Not was easy as you'd think.
Went to begin training in these newbies. Had a crappy power point thing for them on my Zen. Computer's were Win2000 though so it couldn't recognise it, so I had to download the drivers, but it couldn't cos it was firewaled to hell, so I had to ring the Dublin Office and get them to email it up.
Training eventually went grand. Had a lunch of sausauge(singular) beans and chips. I was so hungry it tasted awesome.
Went to do more teaining but I can't log in to myaccount from here till the IT guys fix it up. So I'm stuck in an akward game of "let's all sit in a room and say nothing" with the newbies.
More to follow... -

Internet via TV?! Teh future is here!
I'm in my hotel room, typing on a weird mini keyboard. My initial joy at having the internet in my room was subdued by the fact that I cant use messenger.
3 quid for a porn movie tho

Registered 20 years agoOhh, see it would have been a lot more fun if it had been the Derry where Stephen King sets most of his novels.
I would LOVE to hang out with a child-eating, shift-shaping clown.
