Ok, well I was browsing over this page, which apparently is fairly new (though I thought it had been there for some time), and I noticed that it says:

Storage Media (HDD, Memory Stick, SD memory card, and Compact Flash) sold seperately.

Of course, suppose it is subject to change but this does say the HDD will be sold seperately as an extra peripheral.
Not that unsurprising really, but interesting to know nonetheless.

    Those specs still baffle me.
GPU: 1.8 TFLOPS, System Floating Point Performance: 2 TFLOPS.

It's not just you - this factoid has been turning up on plenty of news sites over the last couple of days, despite the fact that we discussed it in this very forum weeks ago. Although I'm buggered if I can find the thread now. :-)

I don't know, offering two different versions, offering a 'hub' gaming service, they'll be rebranding themselves as MicroSony soon. Possibly.

2.5" HDD slot FTW! Hopefully you can just buy any laptop HDD and use that.

If the 'can't actually fit the kit into the boxes' rumours are true then it might not look like that. It'll be a bit bigger. :-)

I'm not getting the hate, tbh. It looks odd, but it's not hideous. My major gripe is that it's not flat, so you couldn't stack it with the rest of your kit unless it was on top.

    I wonder if there's a PSX3 in the future? :)
I'm sure there will be, given the rip-roaring, raging success of the the original.

I quite like the PS3 design, though I've never seen PS3 or PSX 'in the flesh' and well, I think I'd need to before making final judgement.

PSX is too... 'block' for me, and although I like it on the whole, I do find it a bit big.
PS3 is a bit different in its design, but the black one does look incredibly sexy imo...
