Yes! if the cell was so powerfull it became self aware, developed a disliking for humans and networked itself to every missile silo in the world and fired them all.

it could kill us all, never mind sony.

Could an asteroid the size of Milton Keynes crashing into the earth kill Sony? It's possible.

@BertyBob: Well, yes it could. So what?

All large costly projects involve large risks for the companies that undertake them. If the PS3 fails that will mean a lot of problems for Sony, just as the commercial failure of a new Windows would mean trouble for MS. Figuring that out isn't rocket science.

Could not making a PS3 at all kill Sony? Quite likely.

I wasn't making any statements. I was simply offering a reference.

Sony continues to make money from the psone years after the release of the ps2, with proper legacy console support and the psp they are not limited to just the ps3 for income.

Why? Anything that would/could have been possibly developed for it would go toeither the 360 or the revolution, it would be one less console to buy.

    I like your thinking.

Speaking of Nippon Ichi... Nick, I finally had a look at Makai Kingdom yesterday. It looks even better than Disgaea so far. I'll have to give it a go when I'm done with my Dreamcast Shenmue/Xbox Live marathon.

Razzz! Sort yourself out sir! As a fellow Nintendo fanboy, you must see a lot of appeal in a few PS2 games at least?

Everybody's Golf, Katamari Damacy, Ico, Dragon Quest, God Of War ... etc

I won't lie, I've bought a few PS2 titles in case I ever buy a PS3 or even a PS2. I've got ICO, GT3, GoW, Gitaroo Man, & Katarmi Darmacy. I loved Gran Tourismo 1 and wasted 300+ hours on it, and that was tweaking my Mitsubishi GT 3000. I've still got it the little blighter on a memory card somewhere. :)

You got all those great titles just lying there but don't want to pick up a PS2?? Even a secondhander off Ebay??
Out of some sort of misguided hate for Sony?
