Getting a Nokia 6680 to trigger a D70's remote function: how?!

  • Deleted user 19 February 2006 01:12:22
I've been reading of people who've got their smartphones and palm pilots to trigger their D70 using the phone's IR functions.

Is there anyone who can use Google better than me that can find software or instruction on the ol' interweb on how this works? Coz it would be very cool and extremely handy!

Assuming your PDA has a strong enough IR port, any of the PDA remote control programs should work as long as they are programmable.

Can't say that I've ever tried it myself, but a quick 2 second google came up with this:

They all seemed to be for PDAs - there are references to Symbian OS code, but nothing that you don't have to pay for before you download and try it - and I have no idea if it will work!

EDIT: I've only just realised the 6680 doesn't have Infrared.

    DUH! :(
