Here Just so I can actually make use of the hosting I have. It's really pish and is my first attempt at making a site without using those shitty little Tripod site builder/hosting things. I must say, I'm impressed I even managed to do that! But then Dreamweaver doesn't need much brains. The hardest part was probably installing the PhpBB forum... Which also sucks while it's on it's white template. The other one is nice though. But yeah, any ideas as to what to put in? It's a bit bare... |
Look at my extremely bare site!

cellpadding is your friend!
But it was an enjoyable read, i liked that opening paragraph but it looks like the whole site was created just so you could chat to a few girls

Registered 17 years agoNice, I like the white section titles. The luminous text in the About Me section is eye watering.... I love it!
Only suggestions I have is do some styling on your links and change the default text. But thats just because I hate the defaults with a passion.
As for what to use it for
logging/showing off some web experiments, design wise.

Registered 19 years agoLol yeah, that text is really shite. I'll give Dreamweaver another go tomorrow and see if I can work out how to do it. I'm thinking of putting in something that lets people upload and download school work. My friend still has a script for that. He has left school now mind. -

Go for Arial, Verdana, Tehoma or something else Sans Serif
What is it running on? If PHP there is a script called ATM (Advanced Transfer Manager) -

Registered 17 years agoCellpadding should ALWAYS be used when creating tables, well probably. You dont want your text merging with the lines of the table (unless there are no borders then fair doos).
Also the header texts looks a little weird as the black fucks up over the white on some of the bits. -

Thank you.
Sensible answer
It's normally best to know all the basics before using something like Dreamweaver. But it's not all that bad.

Not impossible, just a pain in the arse cross-browser. -

You're is actually rather good for a 15 year old
Definitely follow Bartonfink's & Truk's advice. CSS is amazingly flexible and efficient and using something like Notepad or HTML Kit (Chami.com) will help your learn and understand what you write. -

CSS isn't that complicated, it gets as complicated as you want really. If you do full positioning, browser fixes and fudges and really go all out then it is. Keep it simple for a simple layout and it can be very easy. -
omg, pink on grey o_O

It's certainly... original!

Yeah, I reckon I'm going to give CSS a go for the next time. Looks a lot more functional.
