I can't help but laugh at some of the 'there really is no point' variations that have come out recently. That's probably mine.

    Yourself?

I enjoyed continually mocking the guy that sent his 360 back because it had no accesories only to realise that there was a flap at the bottom of the box he hadn't opened.

motobikes can be funny at times, 'old' and 'there really is no point' are annoying

    That was a favourite.

None of the "running gags" are particularly funny though. Maybe the first 2-3 times.

As long as they're not overplayed I don't mind them.

I think a lot of the running gags are only funny for regulars really. Still, some of the emoticons I found on this forum are spot on!!!

Probably references to “animal porn”, simply because it reminds of what may have been the funniest week in the history of EG. It may have been a mare at the time, but it really makes me laugh thinking back on it.

When that guy was told off for saying something like, "What do you know about sanctions?". The reply was something like, "Well I worked on the act...".

I wish I could remember but...what was I trying to remember? Ah well...

Umm well yeah, thats kinda the thing with running gags...
I understand that. I suppose what I meant is that the running gags can be a bit off-putting for newcomers. It's okay when the regulars are nice about it and explain, but it's not so nice when you're ridiculed and told to fuck off and read the forum manual.

A real shame about the non-registered comments getting wiped.

I miss otto's editing of Restaurant Tycoon password requests into food-based comedy.
